This is a viewer of night sky map web site SKY-MAP.org(http://www.sky-map.org/). By connecting Android phones to telescope via Bluetooth, this app shows stars the telescope observing. It acquires the direction of telescope rotary encoders are attached vir Arduino. Schematic and farm are disclosed at http://p.tl/h3xp. This firm requires NewSoftSerial Library(http://dev.surfgrid.org/).
This app won Google Developer Day 2011 OpenCallADK finalist.
By using tablet, two screens are available to see sky map. You can use them to see zoom and overall viewing. This app has following functions:
Search location of constellation, Messier and NGC catalog and planets
Show pictures of them(except planets)
Show wikipedia(except NGC catalog)
This app receive huge data from sky-map.org. So I recomend to use WiFi instead of 3G
