Was den Geist der Alten bewegte, waren häufig die Forderungen der Jugend:Es kam nicht von ungefähr, dass in Habach die sportbegeisterte Jugend jene Zündung auslöste, die im Jahre 1957 zur Gründung eines Fußballvereins führte.
Immerhin gab es in den damals 600 Seelen zählenden Dorf, schon talentierte Spieler, die bei dem großen Nachbarn in Eppelborn ihre sportlichen Talente unter Beweis stellten. Es kam, wie es kommen musste:
Die Gründungsversammlung am 20. Oktober 1957 beschloss mit 47 Mitgliedern, darunter 20 aktive Spieler, die Gründung eines Fußballvereines.
