Features at a glance
☆ Worldwide stargazing conditions and forecast
☆ Sky view and star chart
☆ Celestial event calendar and astronomy highlights
☆ Over 15,000 deep-sky objects
☆ Advanced object visibility prediction for your telescopes

Clear skies and darkness: stargazing weather forecast
See darkness and cloud cover forecast for any location in the world and find tonight's best observing opportunities. A twilight diagram shows you darkness, weather and observing conditions for any night at a glance. Receive notifications when conditions are good for your favorite observing locations.

Sky view and star chart
Browse around the night sky using the new sky view feature and watch planets, deep-sky objects and celestial events right at the best time to observe them. Zoom in to discover faint objects and activate the telrad circles to create finder charts to quickly locate your favourite targets at the telescope.

Never miss out on the highlights of tonight's sky
Astronomy events, visible planets, active meteor showers, noctilucent clouds, moon phases, oppositions, elongations, lunar eclipses and rise and set times right from the app's dashboard.

Save your favourite stargazing locations
Build a database of your favourite observing locations to get location-specific advice about darkness, cloud cover and visibility of celestial objects.

Moon phases and lunar eclipses
Find out the current phase of the Moon and the exact time and date of the next full moon, new moon and first and last quarter. Nightshift helps you plan the best moments for lunar observation or prevent moonlight from disturbing your deep-sky observing session. Nightshift contains a calendar with all partial and total lunar eclipses from 1801 to 2200 and gives location specific advice on the visibility of a blood moon from your favourite stargazing spot.

Planets of the solar system
Nightshift shows all the visible planets for tonight and the constellations they are in to quickly locate them in the night sky. The event calendar tells you exactly when the next opposition of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune takes place so you can easily plan your planetary observing sessions. For Venus and Mercury, the app displays the moment of the greatest elongation to determine the best morning and evening visibility of the inner planets. Of course, a twilight diagram is available for all planets to find the best opportunities to observe them on any night and the telescopes needed for optimal observation.

Over 15,000 deep-sky objects
Nightshift comes packed with a large database of deep-sky objects, including the complete Messier, Caldwell, NGC and IC catalogues. A darkness and clear sky diagram indicates when the conditions are favourable to observe your favourite galaxies, globular clusters, nebulae and other wonders of the deep space.

Comprehensive info from renowned catalogues
In-depth information on all celestial objects, including classification, brightness, angular size, distance and cross references with other astronomy catalogues.

Visibility prediction for telecopes, binoculars and naked eye
State-of-the-art algorithms predict if celestial objects are within reach of your equipment. The visibility calculator shows you if your favourite planet, galaxy or other heavenly body is visible with your own telescopes or binoculars.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

3 ★The app seems to be excellent so far, my only gripe (hence only 3 stars) is the subscription model for the ad-free version. While I'd be prepared to pay a reasonable amount for a full license as it looks good, I'm never going to pay a never ending amount every three months.
5 ★REALLY GREAT APP! Excellent layout. I like that it shows you what is available to watch, and what nights are good for stargazing. Love it!! It gives me more incentive to use my telescope! Very helpful!!
5 ★Very informative. Very accurate. Easy to navigate the app, maybe a little confusing at first but that's to be expected with all the content it has. It's been fun figuring it out. I've started using it in conjunction with a couple other space apps and the results are fantastic. 5 stars highly recommend
4 ★I like it for quick checks of what is visible. It is easy to use and clear. It also is pretty accurate. Handy, but the latest astronomy app that I purchased has this information already built into it.
5 ★A very fantastic app before i used this i was googling which planets were visible i saw saturn was visible today but i didn't see saturn i was a bit bummed, then i was checking the planets section and checked venus and then jupiter was visible, it said around west so I looked up west and jupiter was there. overall nothing wrong the ads arent popups too
5 ★Pleasantly surprised at how useful this App is. Shows tonight's chances of clear weather and you can advance to see chances of clear skies later in week. Also creates a nice suggested observing list for the night along with best time to view.
5 ★Super cool and informative so far! I've had similar apps but this is the only one that includes your local weather forecast so as to let you know about cloud cover, etc. I am enjoying it!
4 ★It's a really good app for watching the night sky and predicting observable events. Although there are a few things that would make the app even better. 1- it takes some seconds for app to lunch which can be annoying. Even if you quit the app using home button and open it again, it will take some seconds for it to lunch. 2- if there was a calendar view in the app it would make the experience so much better. A calendar that contains all the events and you can select one to view details etc.
5 ★I found this excellent planning aid whilst browsing for charting tools. It provides full configurability for multiple sites & instruments, with a clear & logical interface. Many extra details can be accessed with a single click. I originally rated NightShift very highly for most observers but deducted a star for 2 problems. Within a day the Waddensky developers had noted my points, released an update to resolve one of the issues & announced that work is in progress on the other. Great service :)
5 ★Absolutely amazing app. The graph with cloud cover, rain, and moonlight is extremely easy to understand. I love the active meteor showers tab, makes it much easier to keep track of how likely I am to be able to catch a shooting star rather than resorting to the internet. The cloud cover is constantly updated to account for changing conditions making the multiple day forcast surprisingly reliable. The only trouble I had with the app was setting the default location. Was able to fix this by selecting 'last selected location' under settings/observation location. Best app I have found for something like this by far.
5 ★I am very impressed with this app! The data is very well organized and easy to see at a glance, and the menu gives you further options for moon and planet specific observing. You can add multiple observation locations and have the app alert you when the conditions are favorable. The only thing that seems to be missing is notifications for specific events. I would like to be able to add certain events such as meteor showers to my calendar. Even so, I find this app very useful and informative.
5 ★Hard to believe how complete and helpful this app is. I'm just beginning as an amateur astronomer and this app has proven invaluable, easily allowing me to see how well my own telescope can catch various objects at specific times of the night, going so far as to offer the optimum magnification to use in a particular instance. Thank you for making this!
