Liga Deportiva Universitaria, conocido también como Liga de Quito o simplemente Liga y por sus siglas LDU, es un club deportivo ecuatoriano originario de la ciudad de Quito. Inició sus actividades en 1918 como un equipo de fútbol universitario de la Universidad Central del Ecuador y el 11 de enero de 1930 fue fundado oficialmente como Liga Deportiva Universitaria.9Su disciplina principal es el fútbol en el que es parte de la Serie A de Ecuador desde 1957. Ha obtenido 14 títulos en esta disciplina, 10 torneos nacionales y 4 torneos internacionales (una Copa Libertadores de América, una Copa Sudamericana y dos Recopas Sudamericanas), además de otros títulos provinciales y amateurs.1011 También fue subcampeón de la Copa Mundial de Clubes de la FIFA 2008, Copa Suruga Bank 2010 y de la Copa Sudamericana 2011.12
Posee el Estadio Rodrigo Paz Delgado, conocido también como Estadio Casa Blanca, el cual tiene una capacidad de 41 575 personas reglamentariamente.8 Este fue inaugurado el 6 de marzo de 199713 con el nombre de Estadio de Liga Deportiva Universitaria y en 2017 cambió el nombre por el de Estadio Rodrigo Paz Delgado.
El equipo mantiene una rivalidad histórica con la Sociedad Deportiva Aucas con quien disputa el Superclásico de Quito, considerado como el partido de mayor tradición de la ciudad capitalina
