GSO2 app is a teaching tool, specifically designed and developed to facilitate student-faculty interaction in college/university setting. Faculty will have access to Content Management System (CMS), whereas students will have apps installed on their devices.The CMS enables faculty to create groups and interact with students individually, or in groups. Faculty can even broadcast announcements to entire class or even to all app users.
Further, faculty can share documents such as assignments, readers, presentations etc with students through this app. Document sharing is either with groups or the entire class. For instance, PPTs can be shared with the entire class, while group assignments can be shared with respective groups.
In order to enhance class room experience, faculty can pose questions – multiple choice questions, YES/NO questions, and open questions – to students. These questions can be for entire class or to specific groups.
Overall, the app is aimed at enriching the learning and teaching experiences.
