Description

Daemon Trilogy: Subrosa is a card-drafting skirmish game in which players compete to fulfill contracts and gain the most influence in the Empire.

This title is the first in a series of app-driven, legacy-style card games. Subrosa takes you along the story of power, control, and double-dealings in a battle of supremacy between the five great houses. Recruit mercenaries from your hand to take on and fulfill contracts. These contracts collect you influence and (perhaps eventually) control of the Empire. Team up with allies for mutual protection or stealthily egg on your opponent's quarrel. How to win is up to you, but remember to keep your enemies close, and your friends even closer.

1 ★Spelling mistakes, grammar mistakes, not sure if camera is active,adding players is fiddly, music is too soft even at maximum device volume, UI is bland at best, no option for players to use their own devices. Companion app is most definitely not recommended until they fix and improve all these.

4 ★Note: It does not let you know the camera is on when you go to scan it. This makes it look like the camera is not on when, in fact, it is. The game itself is a fun, simple card drafting/set collection with some 'take that' mechanics. App worked fine, I can see it being awesome for 3+ players. Tested it with 2 players. There was one instance where a Negotiate action was scanned and it registered the action for both players, locking out the other player of their action. Unsure if it was user error or a bug as I could not recreate it. I will be testing the app more when I play the game.

2 ★Half-finished. When I try to use a card's ability, I get taken to a screen to take a picture of the card, but the camera doesn't come on. If all the players draw a card, the babe lets us know, and...that's it. I can't move forward, I can't go back. Unusable.

1 ★Not optimized for tablets. The app is frozen, No controls to move forward or backward. Controls have become unresponsive. It's easier to be taught this game by a monkey who speaks Klingon, and only in rhymes and metaphors.

2 ★The app needs to be updated as it does not have all the features that are required to play the game. Not only that but it glitches and does not allow you to go back to fix the error. Example, if everone decides to get a new contract, the app states to start a new round, but doesn't move foward.

2 ★This idea has such great potential. Hopefully that will be fulfilled in the future. The game itself is interesting enough, but would benefit from a well-made companion app. This doesn't deliver on what the rulebook and hype seem to promise. A truly multi-device game could be a lot of fun.
