This app was built by Adedokun Yinka Enoch for Droidery Challenge 2017 in Ekiti State University.Inadequate studying of the bible for most Christians has made it impossible for them to know what God is saying about their current situations or dilemma in the bible. Many others find it difficult to remember bible verse(s), most especially the words of Christ; hence Parakletos was developed to cater for these shortcomings.
The app was developed with the view of making some portion of the bible (the promises, warnings and commandments of Christ) easier to locate for use by many. The app is simple to use and navigate through; it has three sections: His Promises, His Commandments and His Warnings. Each section contains card view which holds different bible passages and the passage location in the bible. The app has a sharing capability which makes it easier to share bible passages across different media. Hence, making the app more fun and engaging.
Considering the high population of Christians all over the world (between 50% - 67.4% in Nigeria alone), the app is set to be able to reach out to quite a high number of people, making it a viable tool for mobile advertising. Revenues will be generated from the app through different advertising, majorly from Christian bodies (who want to advertise their various church activities and programmes) and Non-Christian bodies (who want to market their services). Improving the UI & UX of the app will make it more engaging and popular, thereby boosting the revenue to be generated from the app.
How to install Parakletos APK on Android phone or tablet?
