With Wakey, you can keep your screen on as long as you like.Wakey keeps your screen lit on your terms. Make the screen fully bright, dim, or even completely dark while the phone is still awake and working. Wakey can also be set to keep your screen on when certain apps or games are active, or when the device is charging, or even when you are looking at the device.
Enable Wakey manually with the big bulb right in the app at any time and tap it again to disable it.

Wakey Premium (in-app upgrade) has several features that will make your life even easier:
SmartWake Keep your screen awake while you are using the device.
AppWake Automatically keep your screen awake when certain apps are in the foreground. If you want to keep the screen on to see album art while music is playing or while playing games, this feature is great for you.
If you have limited dexterity or physical disabilities, AppWake allows you to ensure the screen stays on while you use apps requiring extra time to navigate and allows the screen turn off quickly all other times.
Note: When the AppWake Accessibility Service is enabled, it monitors which apps are foreground on your device so it can enable Wakey as the configured. The Wakey accessibility service cannot see the contents of the window or anything that you type, nor can it listen to the microphone or use the camera. No data about your specific use of AppWake is collected or shared with anyone.

5 ★Awesomely good app which just works and does exactly what you need. The free version is fairly basic but the small fee for the paid one is well worth it. The facility to start with any app of your choice is useful - e.g. for satnav or music player. And keeping the screen on while your face is in front of it is pretty cool. Only negative is that maybe there should be better help & examples but developer seems responsive to help requests judging by other comments so I give him a big 5 stars!
2 ★This is basically a paid app. The free portion come with ads while you can get the same function from some other free screen on app without ads. Paid version is working inconsistently. There seems a delay to recognize and activate apps after opening/closing. Face recognition seems to work OK. Also it is not a family library compatiible apps. Everyone in your family has to pay. Finally should use motion detect to keep screen on AFTER screen turns ON.
3 ★The screen dims before wakey prevents the screen to sleep. It really is unnerving especially when reading. More specifically when reading in BookWalker. Since it doesn't have it's own 'keep screen awake' I hoped this app would solvr my reading problems. Lo and behold, another one appears. The screen dims before the app starts its 'stay awake' mode. Which is annoying when you are reading, it dims, lights up again, switch page, and dims then lights up again.
1 ★Since uploading this Wakey app, my phone's battery is sucked dry in hours. Very disappointing as it's an excellent idea 💡.
5 ★Great app. Very happy to pay the £1.09 subscription for it. I use it once a week, when I need to keep a Word document open on my phone. Apart from that I turn it off so it doesn't use unnecessary battery power. At first I though that it couldn't find Word (or Excel) in the list of apps. But the developer responded instantly to my query and showed me that those apps are hidden within System Apps. Once enabled I was up and running immediately, Just what I needed - many thanks Jeremy.
1 ★It was really good before the recent update which displayed a stupid notification permanently without any way to disable it. It so annoying I had to uninstall the app. The problem is not the notification, it's important so I know Wakey is active, so I don't want to disable it. The problem is it appears permanently even when Wakey is turned off.
2 ★Does the job, have been using it for a couple of years now. Keeps on cancelling my premium subscription, and wants me to pay again and again. Maybe it is a bug, but it is annoying. The ads are annoying. I could keep on contacting the developer for refunds, but who has energy for that?!
5 ★after now on this is my favorite app. That i found, you can keep screen according to your installed app. Great feature.
3 ★Works well but when set to 'darken', won't restore brightness when deactivated. So I leave my phone on overnight hence downloading this. I turn on the 'darken' settings so the phone won't keep me awake. But when I turn Wakey off in the morning, it stays super-dark and I have to reset my phone to get brightness control back
2 ★Still can't stop phone (in call UI) app from dimming after 10 secs and going dark after 30 during an active call. It only keeps the screen on when you're at the dialer and not while you're acvtively on a call. Right now, this app won't help if that's what you're trying to solve. Added a star for the attentiveness to google reviews ;-).
1 ★Downloaded it to get option of keeping the screen ON while you are looking at it but it does not work. All the app does is go back to the previous brightness level when the screen dims no matter what settings I change or how many permissions I give this app. You pay premium for features that do not work. Do not recommend.
5 ★Fantastic app, does exactly what it says. Only costs around £1 on my end, which is definitely worth it if you have some apps that benefit from having your phone screen on while you're doing something else. Only wish it worked on YouTube although I'm guessing there could be legal trouble since it conflicts with YouTube and YouTube premium (since after around half an hour on YouTube your screen will turn off, unless of course you bought YouTube premium...)
