Description

Description:
The Aircraft Cockpit app recreates the six main flight instruments (the six-pack) that you find in the majority of past and present airplanes: Speed Indicator, Attitude Indicator, Altimeter, Turn Coordinator, Heading Indicator and Vertical Speed Indicator.

DISCLAIMER:
This Aircraft Cockpit app is NOT certified or approved by the FAA or similar institution of your country. It is NOT intended nor suited for being a primary navigation aid. It is intended for educational and recreational purposes only. DO NOT rely on the accuracy of any of the instruments of this app. USE AT OWN RISK! See license agreement.

Demo Version:
This demo version is intended to give you the chance to try the app before you buy it. It is fully functional but will only run for 5 minutes at a time.

Mounting Instructions:
For the proper functioning of the instruments, it is very important to mount your Android tablet or phone in landscape orientation and exactly upright and facing the direction of travel!

Please Note:
This app makes use of several of your phones internal sensors. It's functionality and quality depends on the existence and quality of these sensors. For optimal fuctionality the following sensors should be available:
- GPS
- Gyroscope
- Accelerometer
- Magnetic Field (Compass)
- Gravity
- Air Pressure (Barometer)
For some of the instruments, alternative sensors can be selected (for example the Altimeter can derive the current altitude either from the GPS or from the air pressure).

Try this demo version first BEFORE buying the full app, to make sure your device has the necessary sensors.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★I like the app. I would probably pay for it if it was available in a vertical, portrait orientation. Like others have commented, it is difficult to exit.
5 ★Nice app but I don't know how to buy it
3 ★To check if you have all the sensors... I can get into the menu only for each instrument. Also, which phone / devices have a pressure sensor? And of them which has the best sensors
5 ★All the people complaining about the Horizon losing calibration: Tap on theinsrument, change to "Gravity" calibration instead of "Gyroscopic". Theforce meters arent fooled by g-force, and give you a true tangent to thesphere of the earth.
1 ★I loaded an app to check my sensors in my Android device. And I can see accelerometers changing as they're supposed to and yet this application does not see the accelerometers and is not working.
4 ★Pro version is to much $ for what little this app is used and it would be better with a g- force indicator
2 ★Only GPS instruments accurate.
4 ★Beautiful display and graphics! Seems to work fine on Nexus 4 except for pressure altitude which needs to have ability to set local barometric pressure without which it will be quite inaccurate. Those apps which can do this are accurate to within 10ft. Gyroscopic based AI seemed overly sensitive - it seemed sluggish to return to straight and level but I need to play with the options provided to see if I can get this to settle quicker. All in all, a very useful app as a backup 6-pack. Will consider getting the paid version if the barometric input is added. As others mentioned a slight tilt in installation would be favoured which could be calibrated out.
4 ★Artificial Horizon does not work on my Nexus 5. Works well on Nexus 10 though. Would like to be able to choose which instruments to show (See XPlane Remote Plus app). In my case, I only want to see Altitude and VSI. Would also like to see G meter (acceleration g units). Add setting for keeping screensaver off. Add option to mount at a slightly tilted angle (calibrate on startup). Add knob to adjust pressure on Altitude. Turn coordinator is over sensitive on both my devices. Don't force compass to use GPS when it is alive. I'd rather it stay on mag compass.
5 ★I love this app! I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Be sure to have your GPS turned ON or it will not function.
2 ★I thought this was a demo, of how it all works. Meaning, "here they are, this is what they look like and this is how they look when in use, sorta deal. Shoot, I barley did get to really look and the pop up came.
