3 ★The service is awesome. The app really needs some work. On my phone, it just looks bad. Content isn't easy to find. Text is overlapping with other items, etc. I find that the mobile website is much better, but I would prefer the app if it was up to par. I need the ability to do things in app that aren't available on mobile websites like offline videos.
3 ★app used to work, but as of about 3 weeks ago it has an error. "cannot connect to server". plessssse fix. update. it started to work again after clean install. that lasted about 4 weeks. now my courses stopped loading - no error. maybe there is an upgrade to the platform? hate to complain about free, but i am enjoying the information.
2 ★The content is good so this review is only about the app itself. I like that it can play in the background when you switch apps or lock your screen....and that's it. While playing in the background, the content will skip, stop, or restart to the beginning of current video. The video controls is limited to Rewind, Skip Forward, Pause/Play, Next, and Previous. Most learning apps have at least Play Speed and resolution size. My biggest complain is there is no AUTOPLAY. Have to keep pressing Next.
4 ★The app supplements the website well (offline). However, there have been many issues when trying to connect to the server. Other discrepancies include minor misspellings in the Playstore, for example, "Miner bugs fixed" and not being able to update your profile image via this app or through the website. On a positive note, the app's navigation or layout is simple and/or easier when it's fully functional compared to the official site.
1 ★The app doesn't work on Android, the backend runs off Zen Desk and cannot connect to download information, it's been like this for months. Best to use the website directly which is pretty reliable. Shame that the bugs still haven't been ironed out given the lapse of time, reduces the legitimacy of Cybrary as a goto for Cyber learning (both free and paid) subscribers.
2 ★I appreciate that Cybrary exists, I love the website I have found it extremely useful, however this app is an absolute joke. The video player is incredibly frustrating and I really hope it gets fixed soon. This app does not save your place on the video you are watching and if you tap on literally any other tab or button while the video is playing, or even just try to multi task to one of the other apps you are using, the video will start from the beginning when you come back.
2 ★I love the idea but the app doesn't work correctly. I added a couple courses and when I go to the "Me" section, "Courses" and try to open any one, nothing happens. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I recently got a new phone and same thing. online i can at least see the videos on the browser but the point here is to use the app. Online if you pause and walk away for a few moments. Come back, the video starts from the beginning. Otherwise I'd give them 5 stars. til then only two stars
3 ★The app... works. People have already pointed out most of the problems I had with it, so I would rather take this oportunity to say how great the design is. Seriously, I was stunned when I first opened it and it instantly gave a great first impression. P.S. maybe it would be appropriate to write somewhere that this app is still in beta.
3 ★Every thing about this community is very good , but there is a problem not too big but still a problem , the subtitles won't load the way they load on the website , half of the subtitle never appears , it feels like video is playing below my screen or the heading (or video name) is covering too much of the screen. And they don't have a in app help and feedback option , they don't even have a setting options .
2 ★Could the developers please enable some kind of a feature to remember devices? Everytime I open the app on my phone - I'm requested to login again.
1 ★The Cybrary app lacks key features such as full screen view.. There is always a persistent bar with course name on it.. The next video should autoplay after completion of one video.. When I login to cybrary.it the courses aren't free anymore... When I click on a free course (which I found on the app), it asks me to upgrade to Pro membership.. Why do you people say cybrary provides free media access if you are asking Pro membership.. I really expect a reply from cybrary team.
5 ★Update: This problem has been resolved since, forgot to update my review to reflect that. Original review: Not working anymore. Have been using the app quite a lot recently but since a few days ago, no courses show up, and if I try to resume a previous course it throws an error about not being able to contact the server. Android 9 / Pixel 3 XL.
