Description

The largest and best organized collection of classical music in the world! Play (stream) these marvelous works of classical music through our queuing player, whenever you want, where ever you are. Find the works you want to
listen to with the help of our unique classification, developed by expert musicologists. We offer three modes:

1) The Library - where you can select from all the performances of a work in our enormous collection of recordings - organized by composer, category, and composition. We offer an immediate list of "The Greats" (composers) and their works, or you can search for any composer or performer by name (just enter the first few characters of the last name). Once you see a list of performances, long-tap on one of them to either add it to the player's queue, or add it to one of your playlists, or to view and play the entire album it came from. A short tap on a performance sends it immediately to the player - or its queue if something is already playing.

2) Must Know - where you will be guided to appreciate the most important composers and works of classical music through their latest released recordings. You can search by composers or by a combination of Period
(Baroque, Classical, Romantic, etc.) and Genre (Orchestral, Chamber, Solo, Stage, etc.)

3) Playlists - where you can play some suggested playlists, or you can build and play your own! Subscribers have unlimited access and can play entire tracks or complete works or albums (even entire operas and multi-CD collections) with just one click. Non-subscribers will hear one minute clips of each track.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

2 ★This app does not seem to be well maintained. It's always been quirky with the player being in a separate window from the library. Recently, however, it has been skipping tracks and sometimes crashing.. I suspect this may be related to incompatibility with the latest Android release.
3 ★I haven't even scratched the surface of what there is, but the app needs to be improved in many ways. Various things need to be addressed. The overall functionality is good, but things like gapless playback (always brief silences between tracks), downloading for offline play, app stability (frequent crashing), and a myriad of other things. However, the sheer volume of what is available is hands down, superb, approaching endless content. Great app, I love it, but it needs work
5 ★2021-05-08 OMG! They finally fixed this app! I have re-subscribed after cancelling and all but giving up on CA. Great service. For too long it was virtually inaccessible on Android due to an extremely bug ridden app. They fixed the app! Yay! 2021-07-11 App is still performing perfectly! So happy they fixed this app. This is now a great way to listen to classical music on Android.
5 ★Wonderful app for classical music lovers. Wouldn't want to be without it -- at home or on the go.
3 ★I was a Classical Archives subscriber for several years. Buggy poor quality App. I used it on Asus Tablets, Samsung and LG smartphones. I have been a subscriber to idagio classical music for about 9 months. It is great. Also tried Primephonic. It is also great. I have disovered several other composers that I'd not heard before. If you like Dmitri Shostakovich; you have to try Mieczyslaw Weinberg!! Great music and prolific composer in his time. Me, age 59.
5 ★I'm happy to have found Classical Archives and use it on the Android app, Sonos, and PC browser. No sign yet of the app behaviors reported here... Update 2021: no problems in over four years of enjoying Classical Archives and the app.
2 ★Gorgeous music, terrible app. This is the jumpiest, junkiest app I've ever used. Totally agree with all other complaints about random stopping, loss of playlists etc. Aren't the developers doing ANYTHING to fix the glitches? Recently almost everything I download stops before the end. Thanks for wrecking Chopin for me! Why amass a fantastic archive only to undermine the listener's experience by rubbish technology?
2 ★App is annoyingly buggy. Also it needs features to make it easier to listen to large collections.
5 ★Classic sound tracks
1 ★Dreadful app and no effort to improve it on the part of the Archives.
