Eureka es una aplicación para celulares creada por dos estudiantes de colegios de Costa Rica en conjunto al Ministerio de Educacion Publica de Costa Rica y con la guía de varios profesores internacionales. Su fin es innovar mediante el uso de tecnología móvil, el aprendizaje del idioma inglés de forma gratuita a sus usuarios. El principal objetivo es darle una herramienta extra a colegiales que desean practicar el idioma y dominarlo para un futuro en la vida laboral. Pretende generar un impacto social positivo a través de la tecnología y la educación.Eureka es una aplicación diseñada para ayudar a mejorar tu nivel de Inglés. A diferencia de otras aplicaciones, no requiere una conexión permanente al internet. El enfoque es quitarle al usuario los problemas asociados con la memoria y el costo de datos del celular que otras aplicaciones representan. La aplicación contiene 4 categorías: lectura, clasificación, pronunciación y completar textos; puede aprovechar las capacidades de reconocimiento de voz, dicción sintética y estimulación, mediante 'recompensas virtuales' que ofrece el app. Incluso da la oportunidad de competir con tus amigos mediante facebook para ver quién es el mejor.
