If you have a case that has a magnetic strip(s) that helps hold your phone cover closed you will get bad results as long as your cover is over your phone or tablet. We have tested with and without the leather covers with the mag strips and the app behaves perfectly without the cover but has issues with them.
For the best results hold the device at a 45 degree angle / (in between flat and straight up and down, this should give the best reading.)
