How to install WeatherLink APK on Android phone or tablet?
Download WeatherLink APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
Go to your phone Settings page
Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
Check the Unknown Sources box
Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
Tap the APK file you downloaded (com.davisinstruments.weatherlink-v2.3.9-ApkClean.apk)
Tap Install when prompted, the APK file you downloaded will be installed on your device.
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). 3 ★App needs some help. l suspect my problem is due to an upgrade to the app. I installed it a few weeks ago after getting the ip addon for my VantagePro. To get it going I checked everything and it did fine. Then I went back to remove inside temp/hum, and that doesn't work. No matter what you try to change, nothing happens. I see other active stations have this working just fine, but i can't make any changes. I've contacted support twice, but still waiting for help on this.
2 ★Overall updated look is nice, however seem to have lost months highs and lows, and months rain total. Please fix! Also not happy that Davis is charging for access to our data. Old app had access to history. Please bring it back.
1 ★App has not worked since installed. Called Davis and reported the many problems this app has. Davis said these are known issues and they are working on them. this has been going on over a month and nothing has been updated.
1 ★Buggy, bulky, unreliable - What is it these days that makes ~good~ weather companies take ~great~ products and turn it into garbage??? I absolutely hate this new format! And ~why~ can I take two identical stations back to back, one shows inside temperate and the other doesn't???
4 ★The app does display my weather station data but the forecast is a waste of space. The forecast section is within 5 degrees for highs and lows & forecast rain is typically grossly over what WU forecasts and what I eventually receive ( 3" forecast, .4" actual which agreed with WU)
1 ★Cannot add device. Have emailed support as says our device is already registered but it isn't registered by us!! No reply to my requests for help. Not very happy as we are a school and hoped to use this app and device within the classroom setting.
5 ★I like this app, and I use it every day. There's just one small thing that would make it nicer; if the app would go right to the neighborhood weather information and skip the welcome page. To me it's just an unnecessary extra step. Other than that, great job!!
3 ★Don't upgrade this app. All it does is add a banner at the top of each weather station with an advertisement for their paid subscription service. It does not add any extra functionality or information about your weather station.
1 ★Why does Davis ignore the many issues that are plaguing their new app? It crashes all the time and data is missing. Stop pretending that these issues are not your fault and fix them already.
2 ★The firmware update won't install. Sat on hold for an hour no response. Sent email to support and no response. Firmware update still won't install and now pc and phone won't work.
2 ★Great weather gear, horrible app that makes you pay to add additional weather reporting stations, after you purchase the app. There are better options out there.
1 ★Davis needs to hire a team of programmers and software developers. We pay ALOT of money for a quality weather station, only to get a garbage computer UI with graphics from 1993. The phone apps aren't much better and are rife with missing or misread data. I love my Davis weather station, but hate their software!
