Like Starling Flocks flying in coordination, Murmation the App does precisely this for Hang Gliders! Mounted off your control bar or otherwise on your paraglider, your phone acts as a full Flight Computer presenting in an effective 3d presentation. This app literally allows hang glider and paraglider pilots share thermals real time.

Murmation packs a tonne of features in without weighing down your Hang Glider or Paraglider. Designed with the goal of providing the most functionality in the best way utilizing Material Design and a beautiful stack of technologies. It packs in features such as:
3D Augmented View:
Flight paths are shown from a 1st/3rd person perspective, utilizing the compas and accellerometers to match viewing angle. This allows pilots to precisely keep on top of thermals. If subscribed to premium features, pilots data will be shared in realtime helping eachother get right on those thermals.
Variometer:
All new beeping algorithm where each chirp (beep sound) means a specific gain in altitude has been achieved that switches between rising and sinking mode. Customized low pass filter to clean up the signal. Options to customize altitude gain per beep, and rise/fall deadzone. This is, hands on the control bar, the best Vario algorithm out there.
Flight Tracking:
No need to start or stop flight tracking. All the work is done for you with nothing to think about. Just turn the app on and fly. Data will buffer and broadcast to Murmation servers in realtime. Head to https://murmation.com to view yours and other's flights realtime. (Must be subscribed to get premium real-time data access)
Facebook Integration:
Shortly after your flight starts, Murmation servers determines you're moving consistently, it will post on your wall, a screenshot and link of your live flight in Murmation Viewer where you can be tracked live!
Bytes of Data:
The app has been built from the group up with a focus on keeping bandwidth to an absolute minimum. Weather and nearby glider data is packed in with data save acknowledgment responses. Flight data is automatically uploaded whenever a connection is available. Never "Start" or "Stop" a flight. It just works.
Beautiful:
Material Design UI, High Definition Glider models, Real Sun Position lighting system, Other Glider offscreen arrow indicators, Interface Readouts, Map and Topdown Overlays. Pick between the Wills Wing T2C and the Air Atos VR and customize the primary and secondary colors!!
Settings:
Customize many key features such as Units, Frame Rate (to extend battery life on older phones), Field of view, Audio, Terrain and many other key settings.
Waypoints:
Set up Waypoints and Start Windows with the streamlined interface. Google Autocomplete Service is used to make location searching easy. Arrow indicators always show where to your current and next waypoint.
Glide Range Indicator:
A colored area appears indicating your current glide range. It appears green if your next waypoint lands within it. It assumes steady state, and takes into account wind speed and direction received from Murmation servers.
IGC Download:
Access flights at https://murmation.com and even download your flight in IGC format. Otherwise, just stay there and watch the flight. Pull up the bottom tab to access the flight timelines and synced YouTube videos.
