Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★This worked with my Samsung S5 but when I upgraded to the LG V30, it will not. I have been in contact Battenfeld and after trying everything they suggested including a new cord that they sent, it still won't work. To bad because it was nice to have the have all the info right next to you when shooting and the ability to store it on your phone.
1 ★Garbage. Will not connect, without the app, the chronograph itself is useless unless you're into taking pencil to paper and writing everything down, then doing the math yourself on it. I'll never buy a Caldwell product again. Junk.
5 ★Great app. I am confused about the measure group function. It is not accurate and the measurement will change depending on the size of the box its cropped into. I used it to measure from one edge to the other of a 9 inch target and it saw it as 0.92 inches. Other than that its great, maybe I'm doing something wrong.
4 ★Great chronograph for the price! Had problems with connecting the app. Just needed to give the app permission to use the mic and problem was solved. Would like to be able to import a photo from the phones camera. Camera in the app does not want to focus. Other than that, great chronograph and app!
5 ★Couldn't connect to my phone. Called Caldwell and they immediately sent me a chord that used phone jack.
1 ★While the chronograph itself was adequate. This app was terrible. As soon as i tried to use it, not only did it not work on my phone but the chronograph itself stopped working. I had to unplug everything and turn the chrono off for like 5 minutes before it started working again. Don't waste the space on your phone.
1 ★The top of the line Galaxy S10+ and NO GO. not one reading! Says not paired. How the hell do you pair the phone? It has a Bluetooth setting but this Ballistic precision doesn't have Bluetooth! The cord is plugged in solid both ways. Nothing. Should I send it back? This is the reason I bought it and I tried everything. Even read reviews about allowing all permissions. App doesn't ask for any! No instructions. Says connected no audio. Then connected says state uninitialized.
1 ★App worked fine on my galaxy S8. Got a galaxy S10 and my G2 chrono will pair with the phone but that's it. App says not connected. Have tried every setting and permission. Gone back and forth with caldwell tech support and they can't figure it out either. Told to wait and try it wherever there's an update for the phone or app. For some reason the phone and the app aren't talking to each other.
4 ★Just now playing around with it but I like it so far. One thing I would like to see added is stuff for archery. It would be nice to be able to add your bow setups info (make model arrows/weight) amd have it not only calculate your fps from the chrono but if it had the info from your bow it could give you the kinetic energy not only at your starting distance but at intervals up to like 50 yards. Id even pay for that feature
3 ★App is definitely delicate. When changing to Lat/Lon setting it would just crash repeatedly. uninstalled and reinstalled. went to app permissions and gave it both microphone and location. then went in and changed setting in app to Lat/Lon. App didn't crash this time. Getting it connected to Bluetooth successfully was also touchy but finally successful. will test out functionality hopefully soon.
4 ★Once I figured out how to allow access to the microphone, the app hooked up to the chronograph almost instantly. It gives realtime velocities and ES/SD data. The only issue so far is that with the temperature and pressure set to metric, it gives a metric reading (1017 today) but says "inHG" instead of hPa.
4 ★Used with a Droid Moto Z, the only way it works is to buy a 15' USB A to a USB B, plug the B end into the chronograph in the "factory use only" slot. Then buy an adapter from USB A female to a USB C male to plug into the phone. An additional cost of about $35. The long audio cable that comes with the chronograph only works for Apple.
