The Shannon network game pits you against the compute or another human opponent to take turns either colouring or removing lines from a graph. One player ("Short") has the job of colouring arcs in the graph to complete a continuous line from a start node to an end node. The other player ("Cut") tries to stop Short from succeeding by removing lines from the graph.The game has been around a long time on paper and is also known as Bridg-it or the game of Gale (named after the late mathematician David Gale.)
