Desde aquella identidad fundacional han transcurrido 50 años de labor fecunda y silenciosa, generosa en la producción de egresados de probada idoneidad, que son la mejor muestra de la dedicación de todos sus integrantes, cuya convicción es la de estar formando hombres y mujeres de bien cuyas metas sean la libertad, la independencia intelectual, el humanismo, el sentido ético, la solidaridad y la justicia. Los que ayer fueron alumnos y hoy son profesores o autoridades pueden dar fe de la profunda transformación y crecimiento de la Universidad, que comenzó con dos Facultades y en la actualidad, plena de realizaciones, cuenta con nueve unidades académicas, un colegio secundario y un centro universitario de lenguas.
