2 ★None of the search results I got matched my profile and were all either marketing schemes (including one by Scholly itself) or required essays, videos, or projects on hyperspecific, personally-irrelevant topics. I paid $5 for a month, and frankly, I'd like it back because this service has absolutely no value to me. Maybe others will have more luck finding relevant scholarships, but...be careful; try the free trial first.
1 ★Paid for a subscription, filled out the profile questions multiple times. The app is flawed and doesn't save your info. Tried to log out and back in, only to be asked to pay again. My 3-day trial lasted less than 3 hours before I unsubsidized.
1 ★$50 is WAY too much for the average college student to afford.. what happened to $3.99? We college students can't afford it, it's not right! Maybe these sharks have been out of touch for too long man, but EVERYTHING is going up up up. Food, rent, transport, books, everything. Even this! 3.99 to $50 is simply unjustifiable and honestly, it's greedy as hell. Why???
1 ★You can not manually type in your birthday in the app you have to scroll forever until you get to your birth year. I ended up signing up using the website since you can type the birthday in there. I tried using the app but am not seeing any scholarships, I guess you have to pay $45 first. I tried the app after seeing it on Shark Tank and it was much better then but now they are just looking for their $$. I have no problem with them making money but not paying without being able to try first
1 ★they never send emails and sure as hell don't send an email telling you they're about to charge $30 when i had forgotten about my subscription in the YEAR because i never heard from them, so they charged me $30 which drove me into a panic attack because i was a broke college student who suddenly couldn't afford gas even though i KNEW i had like $50 in my account before, and the transaction didn't show up on record for like four days, AND they won't give me a refund thanks to their stupid rules
5 ★In 2015-16, my son was finishing HS and headed to college. I always told him, "Son, you're too smart to pay for college. Let your smarts pay for it!" This app allowed him to do just that. I appreciate the idea, concept, and purpose behind this app. I know folks are annoyed by the new fees, but if you the math, you will save a lot of money on college if you pay the fee and accumulate multiple of scholarships from this app. Be smart, not cheap.
1 ★This app did not help me win any awards. The biggest issue I'm having is that I can't cancel the subscription. This is crazy, they are just stealing my money.
5 ★LOVE, LOVE,LOVE this app. I saw the young man that created the app on Shark Tank and I was immediately hooked. This young man has done more than created an app full of possible sxholarships, he's taught me how to get as many scholarships as possible for my son and my grandson.NO OTHER APP CAN DO WHAT THIS YOUNG MAN HAS CREATED. 1 ★I bought the app 3 years ago. I started back using it today only to learn that I have to pay for the subscription. I'm very disappointed. I didn't pay my $2.99 for basic essays I paid to be able to search for them!
3 ★I downloaded this app thinking that at least it will give me a list of scholarships for free and thinking that the algorithm and stuff like matching will be the cost... So, I came down to the review section to see what's the deal about this... then in some reviews, I find that it supports only people in USA or people trying to enter USA for studies... so, my question is this- are there any scholarships for Indians who are trying to study in Germany? cos I won't buy it if it doesn't serve me
2 ★It doesn't even give you options to look at scholarships and apply for them, it just gives you examples of essays and articles that tell you the same things the people in school are telling us, unless you pay an arm and a leg for a freaking app. I expected a lot more
1 ★If horrible is anything to go by, this is freaking it!'m so mad. I thought this was it esp since it was featured on shark tank. First! You have to scroll through years to get your year of birth, we are in 2020 for heavens sake. Automate that. Second! The app is set in a way where you have to pay first before accessing ANYTHING..NOW GUESS WHAT! ONCE YOU PAY AND TRY TO LOG IN..THE APP SAYS "WRONG PASSWORD" and prompts you to pay again before to change the pwd. WORST APP EVER!I NEED MY MONEY BACK!
