Il linguaggio JAVA serve solamente per generare il file nome_app.apk che rappresenta il file da pubblicare nei diversi dispositivi mobili, dove nome_app deve essere sostituito dal nome dato all'applicazione mobile.Nello schermo di presentazione dell'applicazione vi sono due pulsanti: App JAVA e App HTML, che fanno riferimento alla stessa applicazione creata con il linguaggio JAVA e con il linguaggio HTML; ciò vuole dimostrare come una applicazione può essere generata oltre che con il linguaggio nativo JAVA anche con solo codice HTML. Nell'esempio riportato l'applicazione calcola il 'Numero di giorni tra 2 date'.
Per scrivere una applicazione è sufficiente conoscere il solo HTML, però l'applicazione avrà dei limiti nell'aspetto grafico, nella parametrizzazione e nella interattività. Conoscendo anche CSS e JS si possono creare applicazioni complete che possono competere con quelle scritte nel linguaggio nativo.
