A Associação comunitária atalaia de comunicação e cultura foi criada em 23 de julho de 1998, com o objetivo específico de exploração e instalação de serviços de radiodifusão sonora, com a finalidade de atender aos moradores do município de caculé, buscando com isso difundir idéias, cultura, tradições e hábitos sociais da comunidade, além de lazer, prestar serviços de utilidade pública, divulgar o comércio e aperfeiçoar profissionais de todas as áreas.a primeira diretoria eleita ficou assim constituída:

ministério das comunicações/anatel, sendo aprovada a sua licença para executar os serviços de radiodifusão comunitária, em 19 de julho de 2005, através do ato nº. 51.669, visando a utilização da freqüência 87,9 mhz correspondente ao canal 200 da faixa de fm.
