O Solar Mobilis é um cliente móvel para a plataforma Solar 2.0, ambiente de ensino a distância da Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC). O aplicativo permite acompanhamento e participação nos fóruns das disciplinas e turmas as quais o usuário está vinculado. Esta aplicação é baseada na arquitetura Extended Mobilis (http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/articleDetails.jsp?tp=&arnumber=6218012&queryText%3DExtended+Mobilis) proposta pelo Prof. Wellington Wagner F. Sarmento e sua equipe de pesquisa e desenvolvimento do Instituto Universidade Virtual da UFC.Além da aplicação de fórum, pretende-se implementar nesta ferramenta a funcionalidade de notificações (Mobilis Info) do AVA e a ferramenta de suporte a trabalhos desenvolvidos em campo (PocketWork). Todas estas funcionalidade terão como interface a Solar Mobilis.
O acesso ao aplicativo está exclusivo para os usuários da plataforma Solar 2.0, porém, uma camada de integração em Webservices foi planejada para que se possa ter integração com outros Ambientes Virtuais de Aprendizagem.
