1 ★I am incredibly frustrated with PayPal. Not even small transactions go through quickly anymore, sending money to friends is now extremely slow even in small amounts and takes several days to go through, my pay monthly loan of over $600+ never reported to the credit bureaus, and even though I had on time payments and paid it off I can't qualify for any more pay monthly loans or pay in 4. It's bs. I'm done using Paypal for anything other than a secure way to buy things online.
1 ★Cannot access PayPal website. I've tried the app on my phone, 3 different browsers on my phone, and 3 different browsers on my laptop!! What am I supposed to do?? UPDATE 10/29/23: I tried all your suggestions, it STILL doesn't work. It will sometimes let me get to the point of logging in, but will not make the connection with the vendors or allow me to interact with my account. I have recurring charges that I need to access! FIX IT.
1 ★I've yet to have a single successful payment go through with PayPal. I am getting charges for orders that are not sent through to the vendors, orders have been cancelled without my knowledge, tracking information is missing, and getting a refund is like pulling teeth. This has especially stressful, because it's the holiday season, and these purchases have all been gifts. After this mess gets sorted out, I will be deleting PayPal, and will not shop with any vendors that use PayPal exclusively.
1 ★I keep getting ads by email offering me $3 for spending more than $200. Leave me alone, plz! Old: Can't take a screenshot of my activity (or literally anything in the app). Super annoying to have to use the browser for a simple screenshot. Also, when you receive money that requires a fee, the fee is not made clear in the notifications. You have to manually check to see how much you actually received. I consider that incredibly deceptive.
1 ★Can't really manage much. Layout is pretty messy. Too many steps just to change a address on a credit card. Annoying ad notifications that need to be turned off. Too many ad forcing ad by default. Should not be having to disable notification or chnage setting for these simole setting. Adware software is what you are making. Keeps using wrong account. Horrible implementation in eBay!!!!
1 ★Automatic payments are very difficult & frustrating to cancel. You are required to login, select the account settings -> payments -> select the "manage automatic payments", now requires the additional steps to click the "see more" button. Which does not show you the full list. You have to continuously click the "see more" button. Going to the actual website is not any better. Same steps. Also errored out using Firefox.
2 ★It gets the job done, but recent UI changes make it very frustrating to use. To accept a transaction, it used to be 2 obvious taps. Now I need to decline to keep it in PayPal by clicking something that doesn't look like a button, then decline to use their "transfer in minutes" offer, and so on. It's like the UX manager read a blog post on dark patterns in UI design and though that was a good idea. News flash, people know when you're trying to scam them, and they tend to not like it.
2 ★I would like to start by saying I do like PayPal as an app, it's the only one I can take international payments from. The issue lies in it's security and verification systems. You can't move your cards around without it blocking your entire card number. Now the problem gets more ridiculous when they ask you to verify with an ID. I provided it with a perfectly clear image of my driver's lisence. Nothing was blurry, and it was perfect to read. With 3 attempts it says the verification failed.
1 ★PayPal is great for transferring money, but the APR on their credit cards is awful, and there's way too many fees for regular cash transactions. I can do everything I need PayPal for with Chime, and I can even send money to people who don't have the app, all without a single fee. They don't even charge overdraft fees, and I can transfer money to and from my debit card instantly, again, without fees. PayPal, be more like Chime.
1 ★Its like a Swiss account right here in the US. Lol Update: That was before all the changes. You now have to manually add funds to your account. Rather than an automatic top up. Buttons don't look like Buttons, the transfer rates have increased from about 2.9 % to a whopping 5.9% when sending money from your credit card instead of your available balance. Cash pick up was just as bad. $20.00 cost me $5.99 which is 29.95% if sending only $10 that goes up to a whopping 59.9% which is robbery!
5 ★The app could be a little more user friendly, and it has a few glitches every now and then, but otherwise it's a great app the use and it's convenient by keeping all your cards in one place and able to use them all from one place. It would be better if they offered the tap and go service, and if it didn't cost so much to send money to new picked up as cash from a store! But it does have some cool features that similar apps don't such as offering to set up a charity, and the package tracking!
1 ★I recently went to Canada and decided to use my PayPal credit for Lyft. Despite checking the boxes not to charge my balance, and choosing the "check out with PayPal credit" option, they still charged my account. Upon checking with them I was informed it doesn't matter what I choose, PayPal will always charge balance first, despite there being clear options that say otherwise. Never using the service again. They altered my billing agreement, misled me, then told me to kick rocks when I noticed.
