Named after Smt. Sharada Madhava Pai, the wife of Dr. T.M.A. Pai, the man whose extraordinary vision was responsible for the establishment of the international university town of Manipal, Sharada Residential School, Udupi was founded in the year 1988 by the Dr. T.M.A. Pai Foundation, Manipal, which is still doing commendable work befitting the life and achievements of the great man himself.Today, more than 25 years since its inception, Sharada Residential School sticks unflinchingly to its cardinal objective of all round development of every child, through a blend of academic and co-curricular activities with the necessary facilities and infrastructure to ensure that every child gets an opportunity to discover and hone talents.
