The WiRa™ app from Renesas Electronics is a mobile application that works with devices which support the Renesas WiRa™ technology, such as Development Kits based on Renesas DA1469x Bluetooth® Low Energy SoC.The Renesas WiRa™ technology offers fine-grain, phase-based wireless distance measurements over the 2.4 GHz ISM band. Performance is a significant improvement over radio signal strength (RSSI) methods, while still benefiting from the inherent low power (extending battery life) and low solution cost of Bluetooth® LE devices.
With the app, you can connect to devices which support the WiRa™ configuration service and modify WiRa™ settings. The app monitors for WiRa™ advertising beacons that contain measurement results. The distance measurements are displayed and can be plotted on a graph.
