Tibetan input occurs in Wylie or with a Tibetan keyboard layout (you can for example use the Tibetan keyboard from "Iron Rabbit" (Lobsang Monlam) which is available in the Google Play Store if you don't want to type in Wylie transliteration). If you prefer wylie input then you can use the app straight away without installing any additional keyboards.

Common Problems:

This app needs to extract about 100 MB of dictionary data onto your device. This means that you need to have sufficient space on the internal memory of your device so that the app will work. If you have enough space but still encounter any problems when the applications starts up then please contact me and I will try to understand the problem that occurs on your device. Normally the app should work on all devices with Android 4.4 and higher but if it doesn't work for you then let me know. Some older Android devices have problems with showing the Tibetan font in the text field in which you are typing. In this case the only thing you can do is to change the application settings and tell the application to show the input text in Wylie transliteration instead of Tibetan script.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

5 ★very helpful
5 ★I now use this as my primary dictionary, replacing both Monlam and The Tibetan Translation Tool. The app works perfectly and has not crashed or failed once. It works exactly the same as the desktop version. I appreciate the ability to input Wylie or Tibetan so that there is no need to switch back and forth between keyboards. The inclusion of Verbinator is very helpful, as verb tense is not included in complete form anywhere else. Thank you for this dictionary.
