How to install Fairbuds APK on Android phone or tablet?
Download Fairbuds APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
Go to your phone Settings page
Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
Check the Unknown Sources box
Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
Tap the APK file you downloaded (com.fairphone.android.fairbudsapp-v2.1-ApkClean.apk)
Tap Install when prompted, the APK file you downloaded will be installed on your device.
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

2 ★Pretty bad.
3 ★I would like my FairbudsXL to remember the mode I shut them down with. I don't like ANC when I don't need it, but every time I boot the headphones it goes in this mode. I need to cycle back to ANC off, which takes a while, because You have to wait until the end of the "Connected" and "Ambient Mode" voice lines, before being able to perform inputs again.
4 ★Works as expected. Only the battery display of the buds seems to have a bug sometimes where the app only displays "N/A". As mentioned by other users, it would have been nice to see the battery status of the case as well.
5 ★Made in the EU? Repairable? Good price? Work? Good features? 5 stars.
1 ★Major flaw: Fairbuds have the noise cancellation mode turn on by default EVERYTIME they are paired. This is inpractical and annoying. There should be a way lock the desired mode and not have to change it everytime.
1 ★It would be 5 stars if the XL wasn't so sensitive to wind. Even when walking indoors, it triggers wind noise in both ANC and ambient mode. Also, the XL should automatically switch to ambient mode when receiving/starting a call. The Fairbuds XL automatically goes into pairing mode(?!) when I disable Bluetooth, anyone can then hijack my headset. Pairing should be a manual action. I can list more improvements, but these are the most important ones. Edit: Long time later, still no improvements
1 ★Very little functionality - I expected a lot more. Battery of the case is not displayed. In my case, the battery of the Buds' is "N/A" for some reason. I'd like to disable the buds resuming playback when put into ears (and/or pausing playback when taken out of the ear). It would make sense that the Noise Cancelling status is displayed and configurable from the app, since doing that via the buds themselves is (understandably) not very user friendly.
1 ★You cannot change the controls! Like come man! Seriously?! I understand you are gonna lose out on features when buying something repairable, but not being able to do something as standard as changing controls is unacceptable! Thats like not being able to change the time on a watch
5 ★I jumped to buy the Fairbuds XL as soon as I saw they were available in the US through Murena. This app is nice looking and is helpfully laid out. It doesn't use the internet, even for firmware updates, since they are bundled in the app - much appreciated. And there is clearly a lot of thought put into the hardware design regarding functionality, repairability, and sustainability. Overall this is a fantastic product in concept and execution with a noble mission. Consider me throughly impressed!!

I am using a Fairphone 4 with the earbuds that came with it, I allowed all the permissions it asked for, connected to the earbuds, and nothing... no other option appear and the app stays in the Bluetooth selection page. If I go back it just shows to choose the device and that's it! Please fix your app before publishing it
