Wer macht mit beim „Bienen-Füttern“? Das Bundesministerium für Ernährung und Landwirtschaft (BMEL) präsentiert die erste App rund um bienenfreundliche Pflanzen.Mit der Bienen App kann jeder dazu beitragen, dass Bienen reichlich Pollen und Nektar finden: Einfach mit der App prüfen, welche Blühpflanzen bienenfreundlich sind und dann den eigenen Balkon, die Terrasse oder Garten zum Blühen bringen.
Die Bienen-App bietet noch mehr: Nützliche Pflegehinweise zu den 100 Pflanzen im Lexikon, Mythen und Fakten zu Honigbienen, Hummeln und Co. oder ein Wissens-Quiz.

Hintergrund
Das Bundesministerium für Ernährung und Landwirtschaft möchte mit der App dazu beitragen, einer breiten Bevölkerung die Bedeutung der Bienen ins Bewusstsein zu rufen. Wer im Gartenmarkt nach schönen Blumen Ausschau hält, kann jetzt mit seinem Smartphone ganz einfach Bienenfreundlichkeit und Pflegehinweise abrufen. Alle können mitmachen, Bienen zu „füttern“ und Stadt und Land zum Blühen zu bringen. Denn Bienen sind nicht bloß Honigsammler, sondern erbringen eine wichtige Leistung für die Bestäubung von Pflanzen, also für unsere Ernährung und für den Erhalt der biologischen Vielfalt.
