De Hanzentour is een project van de Stichting Oldenzaalse Musea in samenwerking met Oldenzaal Promotie.Dat in de rijke historie van Oldenzaal ook de hanzen een belangrijke rol hebben gespeeld weet niet iedereen. Dankzij de positie als kerkelijk centrum van Twente en de gunstige ligging aan handelswegen vormde Oldenzaal een belangrijke poort richting het Duitse achterland. Met de Hanzetour ontdek je de hanzengeschiedenis van Oldenzaal én het centrum van de stad tegelijkertijd. Op zoek naar de verloren munten van de handelaar uit Lübeck kom je langs belangrijke plekken in de binnenstad zoals de Plechelmus en de Ganzenmarkt en ontdek welke rol deze plekken hadden in de tijden van de Hanzen.
