Description
L’attività dell’associazione The Blank è concentrata in particolare nella progettazione e realizzazione di ArtDate, il weekend dedicato all’Arte Contemporanea organizzato annualmente a Bergamo e provincia.Numerose istituzioni pubbliche e private inaugurano e si assiste ad una pluralità di eventi collaterali, tra cui studio visit, aperture straordinarie di dimore storiche e collezioni private, concerti, conferenze e performance.
Il programma ricopre tutte le fasce orarie della giornata e coinvolge differenti target:
dall’artista al collezionista, dai giovani al pubblico maturo, dagli addetti ai lavori a spettatori generici e curiosi, tutti accomunati dalla voglia di scoprire e scambiarsi opinioni sull’Arte Contemporanea.

La 9° Edizione del Festival d’Arte Contemporanea ArtDate si svolge per la prima volta a Novembre, con oltre trenta iniziative tra:
– Mostre
– Performance
– Conferenze
– Studio Visit
e novità come:
– Laboratori per bambini
– Visite guidate in LIS
– Percorsi per studenti Erasmus
Il tema attorno cui si sviluppa il Festival è ESSERE PARTE/BEING PART OF, con riferimento all’importanza e all’incidenza del singolo all’interno di un sistema complesso, una riflessione estesa sull’individuo e sulle sfide che si trova ad affrontare.
Il Festival è sostenuto da Regione Lombardia come iniziativa di rilevanza regionale, dal Comune di Bergamo che sostiene le attività dell’associazione The Blank e con cui ha stipulato un’Intesa Culturale, ed è reso inoltre possibile grazie al supporto di diverse fondazioni e sponsor privati.
ArtDate ha ricevuto il riconoscimento europeo di EFFE-Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe.
