Somos conscientes de que el acceso a la Educación Superior enriquece a la ciudadanía, facilita su crecimiento social y humano y constituye un componente indispensable para mejorar las competencias necesarias para la obtención de empleo. Por ese motivo el Consejo Social, el Vicerrectorado de Estudiantes y el Consejo de Estudiantes de la Universidad, junto con la Delegación Territorial de Educación, Cultura y Deporte de la Junta de Andalucía, promueven, en colaboración con el Vicerrectorado de Relaciones Internacionales y los Centros de la Universidad de Córdoba, la iniciativa orientauco, Programa de orientación Vocacional del alumnado de educación Secundaria obligatoria y bachillerato.El Programa desarrolla diversas acciones de orientación vocacional. Se trata de un encuentro que busca despertar el interés por la Universidad de Córdoba entre los jóvenes de la provincia, y que se enmarca dentro del Programa de Orientación Vocacional. En esta primera etapa, OrientaUCO se dirige a estudiantes de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria y Bachillerato.
Desde que nació la iniciativa, los encuentros se han realizado de manera presencial en las instalaciones del Campus de Rabanales. Este año, sin embargo, debido a las condiciones especiales en las que nos encontramos a causa de la pandemia ocasionada por el coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), el programa se desarrollará de manera virtual.
