3 ★Not Free, The very first thing it tried was to get me to subscribe to a plan for 19.99 monthly. After I kinda jumped around that it did let me search for my plant, and it was dead on accurate to the plant species I took the photo of. We will see where it goes from here, I will update this review. If theres no update then things are the same, still searching, still accurate. :) I won't subscribe with all the knowledge online, why would I?
2 ★3-day trial, then subscription. You can't even buy it once and forever. Lame.
1 ★Forcing a subscription on someone to use a free app is pretty much stealing. If you want people to subscribe to your app then you should be putting your up as a priced app instead of free. Only allowed to take 3 pictures and add 3 reminders before it tries to force a subscription on you. Pointless for people who have 10+ plants like I do.
3 ★I don't mind that it's a paid subscription. However, I would like to: 1) be able to add plants that aren't in the database. Currently I have to pick some other plant and change the custom name. 2) alphabetize or reorganize the "my garden" section. It's super annoying to try and see if I have a plant added, to scroll through 50 things. 3) be able to change the photo. Currently the workaround is to delete the plant from the garden and "look up" the plant using a new photo.
3 ★I got this app to help me keep my plants alive with notifications to water. It worked in the beginning, but over the last 3 weeks it stopped sending me watering notifications. I don't even have the option to turn notifications on or off on the app. They are on in my phone settings. Kind of annoyed that I paid for an app & it's not working.
3 ★Love this app, it identified all of the plants I've taken a photo of and it seems very accurate. The only downside I have is that you have to subscribe monthly/annually. I would gladly pay $3-5 usd for this app as a one time fee, I just can't get behind paying a monthly subscription. Plus, I'm only home six months out of the year, no way I'm paying for six months where I cannot use it.
3 ★After paying....it's metric measures. Not in the English inches... just something to think abouf. Also it doesn't tell how to care for the "my garden" plant snaps
1 ★Yes, you are sorry for the possible misunderstanding, but you are not doing anything. When the application is installed and opened, the menu offers 2 options: subscription and free trial. It does not show the option that it can be used for free. Unfortunately, it is not user friendly. Now I see it can be used for free but late, the app is already uninstalled. Sorry for misunderstanding.
4 ★I have tried many other apps to manage my plants. I found out this one is the best. I used the three days free and now I will pay a year because I think it is worth. UPDATE: One thing I wish the app has is the possibility to use the Gallery with your own pictures so we can populate your database, since some plants doesn't have pictures at all.
5 ★Very useful. Most of the plants I own are there with useful info about them and their care. Now, when it comes to rare plants even if there's nothing created for them, I think the system should allow you to add them manually to your personal garden and let you set reminders just like any other plant. I would also love to send pictures and the names of plants that I have that are not in the system and have someone reply back as to when the info will be added to their servers.
1 ★Not worth your money. Not only is the identification succes rate very sparse, you'll be forced to use the premium version without free option and remibder don't add anything at all. The whole purpose is to identify your plants, provide info and to remind you to water/pot the plant. Reminders don't even have a notification, so you need to make an effort to get into the app, go into you reminders which defeats the whole purpose of reminders? Bad app flow. Better apps are out there.
4 ★A good way to save money on dying houseplants! All of my plants are doing a lot better now that I'm reminded not to neglect them. To improve the app I'd love the be able to see my photos full size - it seems like I can only see a cropped version once I've registered a new plant. It'd also be great to be able to record multiple photos for each plant to track their progress. Maybe a monthly reminder to take a progress photo?
