Aplikasi ini telah dibangunkan berdasarkan maklumat pencirian dan penilaian spesies buah-buahan daripada tiga genus iaitu Mangifera (mangga), Nephelium (rambutan) dan Garcinia (manggis) yang terdapat di halaman rumah atau kebun petani di enam kawasan yang terlibat. Maklumat yang dipaparkan adalah seperti data pasport, data morfologi pokok dan buah yang direkod oleh petani-petani dibantu oleh MARDI dan Jabatan Pertanian. Kegunaan dan pengetahuan tradisional serta gambar-gambar bagi spesies pokok buah-buahan tersebut juga direkodkan.Dalam usaha merekodkan maklumat-maklumat ini, bancian telah dijalankan di enam kawasan di Malaysia, iaitu daerah Yan dan Bukit Gantang di Semenanjung Malaysia, Papar dan Kota Belud di Sabah, sertajuga Sibuti dan Serian di Sarawak. Maklumat ini adalah sumbangan komuniti yang terlibat secara langsung dengan projek antarabangsa pemuliharaan buah-buahan tropika yang bertajuk ‘Pemuliharaan dan Penggunaan Lestari Kepelbagaian Buah-Buahan Tropika yang ditanam dan Liar: Menggalakkan Kehidupan Lestari, Jaminan Makanan dan Perkhidmatan Ekosistem’ dengan pembiayaan oleh United Nation Environment Programme (UNEP) dan Global Environment Facility (GEF).
