A Little KenKen History:
KenKen was developed in 2004 by acclaimed Japanese mathematics educator Tetsuya Miyamoto (no, not two guys named Ken). 3 ★*Do not fall for the update!* The "improvements" are (1) long, loud, annoying ads that cannot be muted, and (2) much tighter limits on the number of puzzles. I miss the old version so much. The puzzles themselves are good. I wish I could just pay money to have the old version. I miss it.
4 ★Love KenKen puzzles, as do my students. App is easy to use. Please add option to remove the timer. Oftentimes I like to do the puzzles without the timer pressuring me. It makes the experience more stressful seeing the timer.
1 ★Only one. Why? When I tap the box to put another number, it won't only need one tap but many times like i hate it so much because if you don't tap it more than one time it will always stay on the earlier box then change the number on the earlier box. And the ads. So uncontrollable.
2 ★Stulidly and unreasonably expensive to buy more puzzles. Not even close to being worth considering buying more. Its a shame since I like the game and have played it for a long time. Even bought 1000 puzzles for like £2.50 a few years back on my iPad which have since inexplicably dissappeared. Shame I'll have to delete the app becausd its far too expensive to consider.

2 ★Ken Ken itself is amazing. This app is pretty poor. You can't write down multiple combination for the same area, just individual numbers for each cell. The redo and undo buttons don't make sense (they redo/undo a random number of steps somehow). Looking for a better version but not sure there is one out there though.
5 ★Best brain excercise apps ever! I think it's better for developer to keep the history for each puzzle likes the time taken to finish it, number of attempts, hints used, etc. I want to find the shortest and longest completion time puzzles for my future review but i couldn't find it.
5 ★One of my all time favorites! I've been playing it for years and even dl it to my iPad. No tricks or gimmicks. You want more puzzles you can pay for more sets or share completed puzzles on fb or Twitter for a free puzzle. It is as easy or challenging as you want it to be.
4 ★It's a really good puzzle app that can really hook you in! The only problem I have with this app is that the "automatic notes" setting also removes the impossible notes from boxes, so you have to enter them back in. Other than that, this app is amazing!
5 ★It's an amazing game with math and thinking! It teaches it if you have never seen it before (I have seen it before this) and it goes from super easy to hard, and it chooses short commercials so we can keep playing after 2 or 3 seconds! Amazing game, love it.
3 ★Good aside from the ridiculous amount of ads. After every single puzzle, or pause, and when you open the app. And, once you complete 50 puzzles, that's all. No more. So you get 50 puzzles as a demo and then you have to pay to continue, just so you know.
