Use your phone or tablet to study diseases, predict global warming, or discover pulsars! BOINC harnesses the unused computing power of your Android device and runs jobs for scientific research projects. You can choose from projects in several areas of science, including Yoyo@Home, World Community Grid, PrimeGrid, Enigma@Home, OProject@Home, theSkyNet POGS, Asteroids@Home, and Einstein@Home.
BOINC computes only when your device is plugged in and charged, so it won't run down your battery. It transfers data over WiFi, so it won't use up your cell phone plan's data limit.

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★This app does what it says on tin. However, I would like to see in app pausing for individual projects. So I can finish one at a time. Also downloading lots of same project with different modules. I'd like it to do one project module at a time. Because of this, I've had to delete some modules. Please update this app. It's not been updated for a long time!
5 ★Works perfectly on gen 1 pixel running Android 9. Great configuration options and totally stable. I always turn down the max battery temperature on phones with a non-replaceable battery, and I think the default should be lower. I would like to see a new update, but I've never had any problems. The available projects depend on hardware and os, but you'll find plenty on any phone.
2 ★I like the idea of distributed computing to help further scientific research and I'm willing to contribute but it seems like this app is abandoned. It was last updated in 2016 and considering how fast smartphones and their OS are progressing, I doubt if this outdated app can efficiently utilise my CPU power. Devs need to roll out an update ASAP. Btw there's a similar app called DreamLab and it's updated regularly. It's worth checking out.
2 ★I would of preferred an app that updates me from what my home computer has done to the up coming projects and news. For this app to be effective it would need its own device.
1 ★Using Moto G 1st gen since I got a new phone. App fetches Rosetta@Home data but progress never exceeds 2%. App will not progress due to various reasons: lost connection to wifi (it's always on), running on battery (phone is connected to wall charger), phone busy (no other apps are actively running). It does, however, recognize my new BOINC account but not for my new phone Moto G6. I don't intend to run BOINC on my computer so that's it for me.
1 ★I was excited about this app. Unfortunately, it gets a task to 60% completion, then says "computation error", then restarts the task, meaning I guess it's not actually working?... I'm unable to contribute? Just sucks. Why make the app? Just leave it up to the people with laptops, desktops, super computers.
5 ★Very configurable and pretty to understand. While charging the phone the SoC can make be used for the benefit of the future that await generator to come
5 ★This app is fantastic. So happy to be able to use my phone to contribute to cancer research in addition to other studies. I also have this app on my desk and laptops.
2 ★It says that I need to connect my device to a charger to continue computing when I am already connected to a charger! Laggy.
2 ★Used to work. Now it can't connect to Rosetta, and even goes so far as to forget my credentials when it can't connect. Total pain in the rear.
3 ★Stopped working after a recent update. It also crashes when I go into settings. I'm running MIUI 11.0.4 (Android 10) on a Xiaomi Mi 8.
1 ★Needs update to run on Android 10. Current Boinc version will not run on Android 10.
