Son yıllarda Ortadoğu da yaşanan olaylar ve gelişmeler, Arap basın yayın dünyasını ve Arap medyasını takip etmek isteyenlerin, günümüz modern medya Arapçasını anlayabilmeleri için, kilit anlam taşıyan deyimsel (harf-i cerli) fiiller sözlüğünün kullanılmasını zorunlu kılmıştır. Elimizde ise bu konuda daha önce yayınlanmış bazı çalışmalar olmakla beraber henüz bu ihtiyacı tam olarak karşılamaya yetecek ideal bir sözlük bulunmamaktadır. Elinizdeki bu çalışma, ülkemizde Arapça öğrenenlerin zorlandıkları noktalar dikkate alınarak hazırlanmıştır. Eserin en önemli özelliği, harf-i cerli fiillerin hemen hemen tüm farklı anlamlarının bir arada toplanması ve her fiile ait bir örneğin çevirisiyle verilmesidir. Eserde mevcut olan örneklerin birçoğu tarafımızca telif edilmiş ve basın dili, Modern Arap Edebiyatı, Kur’ân-ı Kerîm, Hadîs-i Şerîfler, Arapça Modern Sözlükler tarama yapılarak bir araya getirilmiştir. Elinizdeki bu uygulama, Akdem Yayınlarından çıkan “Arapça Sık Kullanılan Harf-i Cerli Fiiller” adlı çalışmamızın android versiyonudur.
