Discover 117 species of trees, shrubs, and vines in the Nichols Arboretum at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. These data were originally collected for use by the Woody Plants course at University of Michigan, and now it is available to the public! We have found over 500 good examples of woody plants in Nichols Arboretum that are on the Woody Plants study list. Use your location to move around the Nichols Arboretum and tap on the points on the map to learn the different species of trees around you, including information like: DBH, condition, common name, estimated height, images, and more. Using this app, users can also measure distances and areas, change to various basemaps, and link to the Michigan Flora website. Michigan Flora contains detailed scientific information about woody plants (created by the U-M Herbarium).
