517 ARTsearch is a mobile app that describes and guides you to public art in the 517 area code. The app was founded by the Arts Council of Greater Lansing to alert the tri-county communities of all of the inspiring art in the area as part of our greater creative placemaking initiatives.Having the app open and using 517 ARTsearch enhances your everyday walking experience by giving you information about the public art you see, including information on the artist and the history behind the artwork. By empowering both the people who create art and enjoy art, as well as promoting education and awareness to the community as whole, the Arts Council of Greater Lansing hopes to progress the creative and cultural landscape of Greater Lansing.
After enjoying the 517 ARTsearch app, use the in-app features to share your experience with others via social media and encourage them to art explorations and trips of their own.
