A rádio serra azul FM, nasceu oficialmente em 14 de julho 2003, pelo fundador José Rosemberg Fialho com a Associação de Amigos e Amigas de Nova Esperança do Piriá. Trazendo a inovação da comunicação no município de Nova Esperança do Piriá de apenas 12 anos de idade, com a transmissão, à distância e sem fios.Começou a operar, com um transmissor na frequência 104,9 em um pequeno estúdio de rádio, que com uma antena de arame fino captavam vozes e sons vindos pelo ar.
Hoje com quase 18 anos de programação opera na frequência de 87,9 sendo a pioneira da região nordeste paraense, levando sempre informação com seriedade para a população, movimentos de causas sociais e claro muito entretenimento, com músicas atualizadas e programas com a interação dos seus ouvintes sendo a mais ouvida da região.
A rádio serra azul FM tem como prioridade enaltecer as culturas da região, incentiva e valorizar a educação no nosso querido município, pois onde hà raiz piriaense a rádio serra azul está presente, buscando sempre levar a sensação de estar bem pertinho dos seus ouvintes, como se fosse da família.
