SINDVIG MA - Somos o maior Sindicato do EstadoA vigilância privada, na forma como ainda é conhecida em nossos dias, começou a se estruturar na década de 60, tentando fazer frente à crescente violência urbana e aos assaltos a bancos.
Mas a regularização da atividade econômica e profissional só veio a ocorrer em 1983, com o advento da Lei 7.102/83, que regulamenta as atividades do setor patronal e também dos empregados.
Como a estrutura sindical era muito rígida e a ditadura marcava sob pressão, ficava difícil a categoria organizar-se. Mas, ainda assim, os trabalhadores foram à luta.
O Sindicato foi fundado em 26 de abril de 1987
Na área da vigilância privada é a primeira entidade do Estado, representando em torno de quatro mil trabalhadores, sendo vigilantes patrimoniais, segurança orgânica e segurança pessoal. A entidade tem sob sua representação 170 Municípios do Estado.
PROBLEMAS - O principal problema na base da entidade, hoje, é a presença de empresas ilegais/clandestinas, que agem em desacordo com a Lei, lesando ao mesmo tempo empregados e contratantes de serviço.
O ÓRGÃO INFORMATIVO - O Vigilante, hoje denominado SINDVIG-MA, com uma tiragem de 4.000 exemplares, é o órgão informativo trimestral da entidade, com distribuição gratuita e teve seu lançamento em 2004, tendo desde então, servido como fonte de informação e orientação a toda categoria.
