1 ★Once or twice in the middle of the night it will randomly chirp the first note or two of my txt alert or it will beep a note from some other tone. The phone is always in Airplane Mode at night, so it is not any actual messages coming in that would cause this. It doesn't do it every night either, just randomly once every couple of nights. The first night it did it I wasn't sure whether I was half-asleep and just imagining it or not, but twice since then I've caught it doing this when I was awake (had just gotten up to pee). It's unfortunate that the app does this, because otherwise I love it.
3 ★I have a Google pixel 6, this app conflicts with a couple of apps on my phone, mostly the important apps like my Google alarm and Spotify. When I close out of the window it continues to play. I have to reopen the app to play and then pause for it to stop. Too many times I've been assaulted by a bright add with audio when I'm messing with the app in the middle of the night, usually when I'm adjusting the volume or the type of white noise I want to listen to. Im really close to deleting it.
2 ★I like the options of sounds and other than the break for a loop and sound it is good. However, it costs $50 to get rid of ads and I am afraid I am going to accidentally click that while dealing with my infant who needs the white noise. If it was an accidental purchase of 10 or 20 bucks maybe, but 50?! better safe than sorry I'm uninstalling and using another one.
3 ★Really great app, use it all the time. I love the ability to overlay sounds and create your own custom sounds for sleep. HOWEVER, this app causes my phone to get HOT and drains my battery. I plugged in my fast charging cable with my phone at 5% with an estimated complete charge in ~1.5 hrs. I took a long nap with the app on and when I woke up a few hours later, my phone was only at 72% and was warm to the touch. Yikes. Such a shame because I really do love the functionality of this app.
5 ★I live near an International airport, and the flight routes recently changed. The planes now fly right near my house all night. When I moved here, that was not the case. Ear plugs alone are not enough to help me sleep. I set the timer on this app for 2 hours and use the white noise together with the fan sounds on the app. With ear plugs and 2 hrs of those two sounds on the app, I am able to sleep all night. So glad I found this app. Other similar apps have not worked. This one has - thank you!
2 ★Really obtrusive ads that are extremely annoying to sit through while tired. Using this should just be a few quick taps but the ads turn it into a few minutes of screentime right before bed. It also used to randomly stop in the middle of the night and wake me up but that hasn't happened in awhile. If I didn't only use it occasionally before bed I probably would have looked for a better app/physical white noise machine by now. I'll switch as soon as it starts randomly stopping in the night again
5 ★I love this app. I have insomnia, which is a problem falling asleep, so I tried this last night. I haven't slept that well in weeks. Some people are saying that it crashes abruptly in the night. I didn't experience this since I set it on a 30 minute timer and was asleep when it ended. The sounds are very realistic and not repetitive. You can make your own combination or choose a preset favorite. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with anxiety or sleep problems.
4 ★Simple, elegant UX, with most of the features I would expect from an app of this type. For that 5th star, I'd like to see some additional complexity and customization in the individual layers (how loud and frequent are honks, for instance) and maybe some commitment to adding additional layers at some point in the future. I'd also personally like a pink noise and old timey radio static layers.
5 ★For any of my fellow anxiety sufferers: I've used this app in the past and find myself using it again. Typically I listen to books, podcasts, or music at work, but lately my anxiety has been very stimuli sensitive and even those things have caused me some difficulty. I re-added this app and it has been a real helper. You can layer different kind of background noise and save your "mixes". Highly recommend if you have difficulty with silence/stimuli.
3 ★Good sound choices with easy mixing. The sounds are steady with no noticeable looping, and they play until you pause it. I put this on every device. Great app! === UPDATE === With the latest update, forced ad-watching is required when you start and stop it. I usually get it ready to play right before bed.. Then, I start it in the middle of the night with one click if I wake up. But now I'm forced to watch ads and navigate buttons while half asleep in a dark room. This is terrible. I downgrade to 3 stars from 5, and I will be looking for something else. Too bad, this was a perfect App.
5 ★I love the different sound options, that you can mix them together, that you can set it on a timer, and that it can play in the background of other audio if you want! It has been just the thing I've needed in this season of my life! *Recently the app crashes when I initially open it up, but always plays the second time. That's a new bug. But it doesn't majorly effect the app's performance.
4 ★I use this app every night, all night. Pros: it has a timer so you can have the rain go off right before your alarm. And you can customize your sound preferences. CONS: every now and then the rain just randomly stops and you have to re-open the app. Very frustrating when it happens in the middle of the night while you're asleep! And also. I wish the rain would fade off when the timer ends, instead it just abrubtly stops.
