Nama beliau Munzir bin Fuad bin Abdurrahman Almusawa, dilahirkan di Cipanas Cianjur Jawa barat, pada hari jum’at 23 februari 1973, bertepatan 19 Muharram 1393H, setelah beliau menyelesaikan sekolah menengah atas, beliau mulai mendalami Ilmu Syariah Islam di Ma’had Assaqafah Al Habib Abdurrahman Assegaf di Bukit Duri Jakarta Selatan, lalu mengambil kursus bhs.Arab di LPBA Assalafy Jakarta timur, lalu memperdalam lagi Ilmu Syari’ah Islamiyah di Ma’had Al Khairat, Bekasi Timur, kemudian beliau meneruskan untuk lebih mendalami Syari’ah ke Ma’had Darul Musthafa, Tarim Hadhramaut Yaman pada tahun 1994, selama empat tahun, disana beliau mendalami Ilmu Fiqh, Ilmu tafsir Al Qur;an, Ilmu hadits, Ilmu sejarah, Ilmu tauhid, Ilmu tasawuf, mahabbaturrasul saw, Ilmu dakwah, dan ilmu ilmu syariah lainnya.Habib Munzir Al-Musawa kembali ke Indonesia pada tahun 1998, dan mulai berdakwah, dengan mengunjungi rumah rumah, duduk dan bercengkerama dg mereka, memberi mereka jalan keluar dalam segala permasalahan, lalu atas permintaan mereka maka mulailah Habib Munzir membuka majlis, jumlah hadirin sekitar enam orang, beliau terus berdakwah dengan meyebarkan kelembutan Allah swt, yang membuat hati pendengar sejuk, beliau tidak mencampuri urusan politik, dan selalu mengajarkan tujuan utama kita diciptakan adalah untuk beribadah kepada Allah swt, bukan berarti harus duduk berdzikir sehari penuh tanpa bekerja dll, tapi justru mewarnai semua gerak gerik kita dengan kehidupan yang Nabawiy.
