V2 AR.Drones require a powerful Android CPU - Galaxy S is a minimum requirement when using local video recording with overlays.
This software uses libraries from the FFmpeg project under the LGPLv2.1.
This software also uses the unmodified JAR of Apache Commons Net licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0.

Flight Animations:
* Flight animations allow a sequence of flight animations to be built up and then played back when the Drone is flying. This includes V2 only flips.

Autonomous Mode:
* Uses you device GPS with Mapsforge maps to fly the Drone under autonomous control.
Uses offline mapping from Mapsforge.

How to install ARDrone Flight APK on Android phone or tablet?
Download ARDrone Flight APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page
- Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
- Check the Unknown Sources box
- Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
- Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files

Q: What is an APK File?
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

1 ★I just downloaded the app and tried to connect to my drone with the new flight recorder. I got an error message about getting money from my google wallet, and now I can't access my drone at all... it won't assign a wifi IP address. Help!!!!! Noted added: I commend the software writer for responsive customer support, after the above post, but I reiterate my concern that the software is not safe for an ar.drone with a flight recorder, perhaps not safe for any ar.drone. It should probably not be downloaded at all by any owners of ar.drone v.2, as it does not work with this version, and the process to do in-app update obviously is buggy, so buggy the drone appears to be damaged. To help others overcome this bug, learn to use the reset button under the battery, before you use this software. I really don't think many people should be buying the free version, as most people have v2 drones, and the program has such bugs. The paid version may be a good value, thus far it appears good, but you have to get there first. A piece of software that gives the purchaser a heart attack before he can use it, does not seem to be such a wise purchase.
5 ★Best flight controller there is for the ARdrone, with many features not offered in the standard software. Developer is extraordinarily devoted to responsive user support.

4 ★As I just said the controls are far better than the official parrot AR.DroneFreeFlight2.3.3 app which does not work with my AR Drone as its not a 2.0 drone but in fact the original. so this app works great for flight control easy manipulation of flight but it will not record what the camera sees which is a bit of a problem because I like to post stuff on YouTube if anybody knows how to fix this please comment back
5 ★Finally! I'm so thankful to have a working remote for my parrot 2.0 and disappointed at some of the cruddy reveiws below. I run the app on a motorola X2 and it works perfectly! Tnanks guys for showing some love for us non apple types!
5 ★Firstly, I have not seen an app that receives better customer service on the play store. And second, this app is very user friendly with easy to learn control features and new gadgets to be discovered every use. Love my drone!
1 ★Program wants u to pay more n more money at every turn, n will not work unless you have wifi to allegedly get licences.
3 ★Was really difficult to get to work ..Got to have a lot of patience with this App..And note to user's : You do have to engage the AR drone app to get this to work ..
1 ★Purchased the premium options for autonomous flight, , but it just doesn't work. Map shows my location is about 300km from where I am. Other than offer me a pricey lower quality manual flight with options that only tease and not deliver, I couldn't imagine why anyone would want to use it. . Maybe if you get auto pilot features working it will be worth it. EDIT- in response to dev, I have tried installing the maps 5 times now, there's only one for my area, and loads that map, just the location is way off, saying I'm in a different city.
1 ★I have the 2.0. Donated twice. I have no problem with the donation or buying the map, the autopilot and the liscence. But it still doesn't work. I have followed the instructions. No luck. I just want it to work.
