Feqıyê Teyran,şiirlerinde Feqê Têra, Feqîyê Gerok, Meksî, Xoce, Mîr, Mihê, Mîm û Hê gibi mahlaslar kullanmıştır.
Soylu bir ailenin çocuğu olan Feqıyê Teyran’ın dedeleri Osmanlı devletinden “MİRLİK” ünvanını almışlardır.
