Description

Kanji Senpai will help you learn Japanese vocabulary and kanji.
By using a spaced repetition system (SRS) you can memorize the different aspects of each vocabulary: meaning, pronunciation, reading, listening, writing, etc.

Included it's the N5 level of the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) vocabulary list and you can download (for free!) all the levels (though N1).

Ah! This app assumes you've already mastered hiragana and katakana.

FEATURES
• Study several vocabulary aspects: reading, listening, writing, meaning and handwrite
• Answers are not so easy so you will really learn that the kanji for "person" is 人 (hito), no 八 (for example)
* In the kanji write aspect, strokes are checked for rightness (there's even a strict mode!)
• Lists can be downloaded and upgraded
• You can a study a session without audio questions (in case you're in a public place with no headphones)
• There are vocabulary translations for English and Spanish
• You can create custom lists
• Example sentences (currently for the N5 and N4 levels)

If you are serious about learning Japanese, you can download premium audio packs for the study lists (don't worry, it's cheap!). These audios are professionally audio recorded from a Japanese native teacher that will help you master the vocabulary.

The Audio pack for a list (inapp purchase) will unlock:
• Audio for words
• Audio aspect (you'll be asked for listening questions)
• Kanji handwritten aspect (you'll have to write kanji and kana)
• Ads will be disabled
• Unlimited custom lists

5 ★Been using this on and off for years. Love that it's offline, love that it does exactly what it says it does. Kanji review, stroke order, listening, all the good stuff, and zero social media features. Absolutely wonderful app. I occasionally have to close and restart it but that's fine and probably because my phone is old, I will use this app until my phone simply refuses to launch it.

5 ★Love it! As someone who struggles with consistency, I found it quite helpful. I just need to open it and spend 10-15 minutes and it will take care of the new words I need to learn and revisiting the ones I've learned, every now and then

2 ★The developer has likely abandoned this app. They don't respond and the problems remain unaddressed. App is great, but key functions are no longer working (backup, custom lists) so I'll lose all my progress when I get a new phone and custom lists (which you pay for) don't work due to a permissions error. Contacted developer multiple times and no response. It's unfortunate. This is a good app and I haven't found an equivalent. I've also purchased all the lists.

2 ★Great app, but Rodriguez.JP has not responded to multiple emails requesting support, so we can not inform him about being unable to backup our data on newer devices.

3 ★Hi, I can't recover my record since I changed to device xiaomi, it says something about permissions. Then I tried again into a ZTE device. It happens the same, even if I synchronize my account which I made the payment. What can I do? This app is very important for my learning. Please, help.

4 ★Edit: Recently it constantly freeze, and I have to reopen to fix. Still is one of the best apps to learn kainji, but it seems that it's not maintained anymore 😔

2 ★This is a great app but unfortunately I can't recommend it because the backup feature is broken and the developer seems to have abandoned it. (No response to my bug reports.) I guess I'll just have to assume that I'll lose all my progress when I get a new phone.

2 ★... Half the DLC costs money. Okay. Not one single audio is free. Now it's annoying. It has advertisements on the sample that is trying to convince me to buy DLC with no promises on removing advertising. Uninstalled.

3 ★Nice app and I love the fact that it reaches you both the vocab and the kanji, but why is there no setting for the amount of new items, why is the learning session is limitless, I feel like I never actually finish my lesson, lol, it just keep coming to with the new things to learn.... And that reviews count at the bottom, very confusing, one moment it's 9/19, next it's 10/30, so am I at 9th review out of 19 and if yes, how come it's 30 suddenly?? Audio also played with a serious delay, annoying
