La configuración actual del capitalismo global ha producido una inédita disolución de las identidades nacionales y comunitarias y, al mismo tiempo, una crisis sin precedentes de movimientos poblacionales.Migraciones forzadas, diásporas, exilios, huidas dieron pie a todo tipo de alianzas (comunidades políticas autonómicas, formas de colaboración artísticas, micronaciones, re-emergencia de la cuestión indígena) y de fenómenos políticos como resultado del desplazamiento de cuerpos y de lenguas, de prácticas y de culturas materiales sometidas a tensiones al mismo tiempo centrífugas y centrípetas.
Estos tránsitos (a veces violentos, a veces secretos) afectaron las formas que asumen las identidades culturales y raciales, las estructuras familiares y las definiciones de género.
El resultado de estos procesos es un mundo de cuerpos en tránsito, en el que la norma parece ser la desestabilización de lo humano y la producción de figuras nuevas.
En sus desplazamientos, minorías y migrantes llevan a cabo la desclasificación completa de categorías hasta entonces intocables y constituyen sujetos políticos de difícil tratamiento de acuerdo con los marcos clásicos.
Este III Simposio de la Sección Cono Sur de LASA, organizado por la Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero, se propone desplegar abordajes de esta condición del presente y de la superposición de temporalidades (lo arcaico, lo inmemorial, lo inminente).
