Masa Kecil Poppy MercuryDi masa kecil Poppy Mercury mulai bersekolah di SD Padjajaran Bandung kemudian melanjutkan sekolahnya di SMP Negeri 9 Bandung, dan tamat dari sana ia kemudian masuk di SMA Korpri Bandung. Sejak bersekolah Poppy Mercury memang senang bernyanyi dan dikenal memiliki suara yang merdu, selain itu ia dikenal mahir dalam memainkan beberapa alat musik sebut saja Piano dan juga Gitar. Selepas tamat dari SMA, ia tidak melanjutkan studinya ke perguruan tinggi, ia lebih memilih untuk bekerja di Bank BTPN selama 4 tahun. Disinilah kemudian bakat bernyanyi Poppy Mercury semakin menanjak dimulai dari ia bergabung dengan Band AS BTPN.
Karir Musik dan Peluncuran Album Pertama
Karir musik wanita yang dikenal selalu tampil sederhana dan low profile ini cepat menanjak, Single nya yang pertama berjudul Terlalu Pagi yang keluar pada tahun 1990, kemudian pada tahun 1991, ia kemudian berduet dengan penyanyi asal malaysia yaitu Saleem Iklim dalam lagu yang berjudul Fantasia Bulan Madu dan Suci Dalam Debu’ kemudian akhirnya Poppy Mercury meluncurkan album perdananya yang berjudul Antara Jakarta dan Penang disusul Surat Undangan pada tahun 1992 serta Terlambat Sudah dan Antara Kau Dia dan Aku pada tahun 1993.
