ManahijThis application is an idea and initiative to collect a knowledge base on public education, higher education, and professional certificates in order to support the process of learning and continuing education.
The application contains the following elements:
1. Video Lectures
2. Books and Sheets
3. Links of contents
4. Bank of Answered Questions
5. Bank of Unanswered Questions
6. Testing Engine
In Public Education, categories are classified by country and then by educational stages (primary-preparatory-secondary). In each stage we find related list of subjects where members can contribute to insert new subjects not found on the list.
In Higher Education and Professional Certificates, categories are classified into main categories such as (Engineering) and sub categories such as (Electrical Engineering).
When reviewing subjects or courses list and selecting the required subject or course, a list of the above learning elements will appear. This will allow the learner as in the first element to view lectures proposed by members (students or professors) and to add or propose any scientific material from Youtube that supporting concerned courses.
In the second element, the learner can review the books and sheets in PDF format, as well as rating its contents.
In the third element, the learner can review the links of content over the internet, which brought to you by other members after a journey of searching and surfing for a useful information.
In the fourth element, the learner can review a list of Q&A of any subject and try to find out the correct answer by using check and verify options. Repeating these attempts, the learner can gain knowledge by identifying multiple types of questions and answers. The student or professor can ask questions and answers from different sources (books, previous exams, or the Internet).
In the fifth element, learners submitted unanswered questions and looking to be answered by others. All members may interact and share their knowledge and experiences by answering the subjected questions.
The element number six (Testing Engine) supports the process of assessing the knowledge gained by learners through submitting quizzes from time to time to identify the fields of weakness and improve it accordingly.
The application also consider the process of supervision and academic follow-up. An email field has been assigned to the parent and class supervisor through the membership registration screen as well as an e-mail to the subject supervisor through the student supervisor\'s introductory form. Follow-up is given by notices to the parent, class supervisor, and subject supervisor whenever the student watches a lecture, read a book, a content link, or submits the quizzes. The notice contains the type of teaching material, the date and duration of the student\'s learning and result of quizzes.
Finally, there is an amazing feature that we publish in the next version, allows teachers to design quizzes for their students by choosing test questions from questions that they contributed to the application or from questions contributed by other professors. Also the feature allows them to determine the date of the test and the number of questions as well as naming the quiz or assignment. The feature will be extended to allow teacher to control their designated quiz by determining whether the quiz is available only to their students or to all users of the application. This service will be paid at a nominal fee for teachers and regular fees for schools and universities.
