Description

Grade multiple choice tests, quizzes, and assessments instantly in the classroom by using your Android device's camera as a grading scanner. ZipGrade is a grading app that makes grading effortless while capturing, storing, and reporting with useful data on assessments. No need to wait for the Scantron machine or sheetfed scanner to grade papers quickly.

Students receive immediate feedback and can see their score on a test as soon as they're done. Teachers can have all of their multiple-choice grading done before the next class starts. Based on teacher feedback over the last year, numerous options are available to customize ZipGrade to meet different classroom needs.

--------------------------------------------------------
* Free answer sheets available in several formats and sizes (up to 100 question answer sheets)
* Works without internet connectivity. Data will sync whenever a connection is found (optional).
* Uses student ID numbers or written name of student for reporting.
* Knows when a paper is in viewfinder and sufficiently in focus to grade. No buttons to press while grading!
* Students may use pen or pencil. Handles erasures and white out well.
* Combination answers of up to 3 letters allow for up to 31 answers for each question-- great for matching portions!
* Companion website (www.zipgrade.com), allows additional functionality and reporting once a free ZipGrade Cloud user is created:
- Secure backup of all graded papers and data
- Import Student Rosters
- Manage Student and Class Information
- Export Quiz results to CSV or PDF formats
- Download answer sheet packs by class with student information pref-filled
--------------------------------------------------------

Quick Start:
1. Select from multiple answer sheet forms and sizes at ZipGrade.com. Download and print as many copies as you wish.
2. Within the ZipGrade app, press 'New Quiz'
3. Press 'Edit 'Key'. Enter your answer key or scan an answer sheet acting as a key
4. Press 'Scan Papers' to start scanning papers:
* Hold paper on flat surface and align the 4 corner squares in the 4 viewfinders.
* ZipGrade will automatically focus and identify when paper is readable.
* The app will vibrate when paper is graded and provide an instant summary (with links for more detail).
* No buttons to push, leaving your other hand free to turn to the next paper.
5. Review:
* View actual images of scanned papers and make any manual corrections (ie student's crossout out inked circles) in 'Review Papers'
* Get a view of how the entire class did in 'Item Analysis'. Item Analysis includes a drill-through to see alternative answers and which students gave those answers.
* Export results as PDF reports (to print and hand back or post) or CSV files to upload to your gradebook.

As a free download with a 100 scan demo, we'd like you to try ZipGrade to see if it is the right grading app for you. If so, purchase additional time at any point as an in-app purchase. Once purchased, use your subscription on any device you own by logging in with the same ZipGrade Cloud user. Your data and subscription will sync between devices. Many teachers like to scan with their phone, but review with their tablet or desktop computer.

Great for exit tickets, formative assessments, summative assessments, or regular quizzes. By giving teachers the flexibility to grade papers instantly anywhere, ZipGrade provides immediate feedback on current knowledge and can be used to better focus lessons and assignments. Replace your expensive Scantron machine with the technology you're carrying with you already.

We're diligently working to improve the product and need feedback from teachers like you. Write info@zipgrade.com with any feedback or suggestions.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★As a 9th grade social studies teacher I love this app. I use this for anywhere from 10 - 50 question quizzes and tests and it is sooo nice. I especially love the item analysis feature that lets me sort through the questions and see what questions my students struggled the most on and the most common incorrect answer, etc. I love it!
4 ★Nice app! Affordable and thought for the busy teacher that wants things fast and without problems. Unfortunately it has some mistakes, during my scanning a test, the score changed twice, so it means that it didn't recognize the first marks on the test during the first scanning.
5 ★Very nice app. Accurately scanned the answer sheet. Its better if you can add additional options for : 1. students score per class with frequency Column 1: Students score from highest to lowest score Column2: frequency of correct answers Ex: 50= 15, 49= 10, 48= 5, 47=5, and so on 2. students error with frequency Column 1 :Question no. Column 2: Frequency of error Column 3: percentage Ex Question 1= 3= 1%, 2= 5=2%, 3= 10=5.%... until question 50
5 ★Great tool to grade tests quickly. I can use the Item Analysis option to look at which questions the class as a whole got wrong, rather than reviewing every single question. Copy and pasting quizzes and exporting to CSV/excel make this a great resource. I wish I could front load a roster by student number from my desktop and have it prepopulate a student answer sheet bs I prepare and print for a class ahead of time. Great work from the folks at Zipgrade.
5 ★Just marked a million things using this while in class... students enjoyed watching their teacher jump around and exclaim praises for marking time saved. I really like how the app also shows images of exactly how the bubbles were filled in (eg. multiple bubbles, crossed out bubble to show corrections...). Make sure the option to include the student ID bubbles on a custom quiz is selected and the pre-filled answer sheets (with ID bubbles, name...) can be printed from the "Classes" tab. Amazing.
5 ★so, so, SO worth it. Easy to use, easy for students (no confusion or tech problems for them because the quizzes are on paper, they don't have to know or care), and it doesn't just grade the quiz, it knows which student took it and uploads their grade to an online spreadsheet. plus it does item analysis... awesome 👍
4 ★It is a very useful tool for teacher who want to save time when grading multiple choice assessments. I especially like the analysis features where I can check how my students did. I can see the general graph of their results and what questions were missed the most.
4 ★Good for quick grading of students' work, MCQs. The instruction on use especially multiple quizzes and classes and linking them to one answer key seem not clear. There is advantage in keeping the classes still separate and not merging them as one large class since analyses on the classes are needed for instructional purpose.
5 ★I am already giving this a 5 star. This is a very useful app, I can use both my android and ios gadgets. However, I hope you can add a function where in teachers can download the SCANNED PAPERS per class. I want to forward the SCANNED PAPERS to my students for them to assess the items they were not able to answer correctly. Thank you very much ZipGrade
5 ★This app takes a little set up of all materials but then it makes life so much easier! My students scan their own tests and have instant gratification of their multiple choice grade - I usually add on a short answer section so they aren't quite sure of their grade.
4 ★A huge time saver. The learning curve can be a little steep and some of the actions are a little confusing (should I do it on the website or the app?). However, once you get acclimated to the processes, you'll discover that it was well worth your time.
3 ★It's great unless I make a custom answer sheet. It keeps making me go through the process of updating when it's already updated, then shut down my phone and restart, then wait for pending and so on. This puts me behind because I have to make time that I don't have.
