1 ★I used uTorrent for many, many years. Honestly it was right up there with WinRAR for me in terms of quality. That's totally out the window at this point though, they've clogged their service up with ads that stop your downloads. I genuinely was shocked by this, as uTorrent has always been a quality product in the past. Guess all good times must come to an end. If there's any alternatives, I would both love to hear them and suggest you use any that are available.
2 ★The UI is terrible. Can't see your xfer rate without clicking into menus. (Don't point out the work around, thanks. It's a bad approach to finding this info.) Holding the file in queue doesn't function. It does a highlight to the files where no other operation can then be done. So, like the xfer rate, you have to take extra steps to just remove the file once completed. The UI is ugly and doesn't function correctly, why implement it when what you had actually worked right? Terrible update.
1 ★I used to love utorrent. I'm a 10+ year user. Now, I can't trust it. It's incredibly unreliable. I often have terrible download speeds. I have to keep the app open just to get a little better speed, but it's still trash. No information is available to the user. Many other torrent softwares are better. My advice would be to go back to the basics of what made utorrent the best. This new GUI and connection operation just isn't working.
5 ★Been a user since before it was on mobile. I do get frustrated with the ads and throttling but I understand keeping the app free means money must come from somewhere. All in all I have no issues at all. I enjoy the app. Throttling I know has nothing to do with the app because the source of the torrent may have a slow machine or slow network which hinders the speed of the download. I enjoy it you guys have been invaluable and I look forward to what else you guys have to offer in the future.
1 ★Been using the app for years and just recently started having this issue. You can't exit the app. When it asks "Are you sure you want to exit" and I click yes, it either gives me an ad and stays open, goes to a black screen and stays open in the background, or closes for half an instant before opening again. Given the massive battery draw this app has, being able to close it occasionally would be nice.
4 ★Works fine for what it is, considering it's a torrent downloader for mobile. Obviously it's going to be better on a stronger tablet or PC, but I've found no real problems with it, and the few "negatives" not worth even mentioning considering they aren't a result of a bad job, just the expected limitations of an app and process being run on a mobile device. Highly recommend if you're looking for a torrent downloader. Not nearly as sophisticated as the PC version, but works fine nevertheless.
1 ★Super aggressive and predatory ads. The tiktok one especially forces you to click on the ad and opens the play store, prompting you to download it. I tested it two different ways. When I try to pull up my bottom taskbar to select home or back, before I even get done swiping the overlay activates as if I pressed on the ad. Same with the comically small x in the top right, it'll literally trigger a press on the ad before you can exit out it. Super predatory.
3 ★this app is popup ad hell!! have no idea how good this app is because when I would try to bring a magnet to it all these ads would pop up before I could get it there. not just 1 ad either. 3 ads in a row. I'd finally get to X out of the app and there would be another one right on its heels. you guys need to tone down the ads on here. I understand the need for revenue and all. and I can easily tolerate ads normally because you gotta make money somehow. but this is way too much.
4 ★Micro Torrent is the same as the PC, do yourself a favor though. Register it to remove the ads and change your download directory into an easily accessed one. I would give it 5 stars if they made the download directory easily accessible off the bat rather then having to move it manually in settings. ,(Makes it easier to transfer to computer if needed). Other than that it does what it must. Oh and allow a play of video files from archive formats too while your at it.
1 ★Abysmal, frustrating, and not worth it... uTorrent used to be a great app on many platforms, one of the best torrent downloaders, but now it is just a disappointing joke. Dysfunctional user experience, floods of advertisements, very limited features in Android, full-screen ultra loud 30-second video ads that block your screen... And, the worst of all, very few torrents download any faster than mere kilobytes per second. Slower than dial-up speeds from 1997!
1 ★This app is bloated. Full of ads. Doesn't have the feature to download to sd card. And last night it cost me so much money by automatically downloading when I had paused it and the app wasn't scheduled to start downloading. Trust me when I tell you it was a bug. Only happened once...but now I have to pay so much money from my own pockets for this stupid bug. The pc version of this app is great but there are far better alternatives on the store with much more options Stay. Away. From. This. App.
1 ★Something very wrong with this app. Was working fine a couple of days ago and past 2 mo, but today the download speed just kept dropping and dropping. Thought it was my internet, but then I switched to Turbo Torrent and everything worked fine. Hell the downloads are even faster on there and I didn't have to spend $4 to get rid of ads because there aren't any.
